There is one Ring camera to the right of the front door for the security and convenience of our guests. You may press the button on the ringer should you wish to speak with the hosts at check in. Welcome to the woods! The cabin is in the heart of the forest where animals reside big and small. You may see the occasional coyote or burro (yes we have wild donkeys!) outside or even more rarely a spider, cricket, etc. inside but they prefer to leave you alone. Bears, mountain lions, raccoons and bobcats also live among us but are rarely seen as they prefer to avoid all human contact. Do not feed wildlife. If you see them, please give them space and let them be. Dust is inevitable. While we thoroughly dust, clean and sanitize after every guest, dust cannot be completely eradicated due to the surrounding trees, pollen, brush and loose dirt as the neighborhood is in a mountain community where landscaping doesn't really exist. Please keep this in mind but call us if it is reasonable to do so and we will immediately come and dust again for you. Absolutely no parties/events or loud music but if you are celebrating an intimate birthday, anniversary, etc., contact host who can provide beverages, cakes, flowers, balloons, etc. for a nominal fee. Four person maximum, no exceptions per local ordinances. Only primary and specified guests on reservation are allowed to stay on the premises at any time. Violation of guest maximums will result in a hefty fine from the County of San Bernardino and all guests will be evicted. No children under the age of 12 without pre-approval from host. We do not provide high chairs, cribs, playpens, etc. If approved, guest will need to bring their own baby gear. Only Duraflame-type logs are permitted in the fireplace. NO PETS - we love all animals but some of our family members are severely allergic to pet dander. No smoking inside home (in the yard and on the decks is okay. Please leave butts in provided outdoor ashtrays). There is an outlet for EV charging in front of the house but we do not provide chargers. Please report any damage that occurs during your stay. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense (including age) will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit, and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in. PARKING – Please park in the 2 car driveway. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees and is the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. STORM POLICY/ROAD CONDITIONS – Mountain roads can be curvy and steep. We highly recommend four-wheel drive and/or chains/cables during the snow months. You are required by law to carry snow chains specific to your vehicle during the winter months. It is recommended you also carry drinking water and blankets for emergencies. NO refunds are given if you are removed from the premises for any reason including violating noise ordinances. BE PREPARED- In the winter months, snow and ice are common and should be expected. It is recommended you keep emergency items in your car, including water, blankets, food & a shovel. Snow chains/cables should be purchased before your trip and required by law from Nov. 1 through March 1. Although driveways are plowed regularly, there may be instances when our snow plowers will be behind schedule but rest assured we will strive to keep the driveway and decks clear for your arrival. Removing snow from your vehicles is the guest's responsibility. Please do not take new, unused rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen supplies (ie; aluminum foil, condiments, etc.) home with you as they are provided for all guests to use including those who stay after you leave. We keep high value items (jewelry, expensive electronics, etc.) for 6 months, everything else for 30 days. Owners/hosts live on the same street - contact us if you have any questions or issues as we are available daily during your stay. Contact us in the evening (after 6pm) for urgent matters and emergencies only.
