Three bedroom, two bath home with pool, game room, and children's playroom. The Hula Hut is one block to the ocean and 1 block to the Publix grocery store and restaurant area. Right over the Vilano Bridge is historic Saint Augustine which is only two miles to the holiday Nights of Lights. National Geographic has listed St. Augustine in the top ten holiday displays in the world! Dog friendly but must be pre approved and included in the reservation. Welcome to the oldest house in Vilano Beach, built by August Heckscher who In 1926, built the Grand Vilano Casino, a Mediterranean Revival-style building on Vilano Beach. Big name bands from New York, vaudeville acts, theme parties and dances were hosted here. The Casino didn't survive florida weather but this lovely casita did. Tastefully updated and furnished to promote living a relaxed, surf, and beach inspired life while you are on vacation. The home has 3 large bedrooms, two living spaces, dining room, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. The upstairs bedroom has two queen beds, walk in closet, and an en-suite bathroom with double sinks and a bath tub shower combo. There's also a newly updated children's playroom upstairs with various books, puzzle, and toys. Downstairs there are the other two bedrooms, one with king bed and one with a with a pull-apart king bed meaning you can use it as a king or 4 twin beds. The living room has plenty of furniture for lounging, a couch, big comfy chairs, an electric fireplace, and a record player with a small selection of records. The pool is SMALL but refreshing. There is no pool heater so our winter time guests get to use it as a plunge pool. And according to Dr Health Benefits, the increased blood circulation from the cold plunge releases endorphins. And more endorphins released makes for a more relaxed you. Guests have access to house, laundry room, pool bathroom, and pool/beach equipment. We are available remotely to guests and are happy to answer any and all questions and concerns. Built in 1927, the Hula Hut was the first home on Vilano Beach. The residential neighborhood is easy walking distance to the beach (only one block!) The Publix grocery store is also one block away and that plaza also has several restaurants within. Check out the fun waterfront restaurant "Beaches Bar and Grill" for lunch/dinner and also jetski/boat rentals, located just two blocks away. Car, bike, uber and lyft available in the area. Although we are 1 block from the ocean, the beach is a public beach and we are not responsible for any limitations or circumstances that may prevent or disrupt usage of the beach or water. We love our home but it is not our primary residence so we are not the foremost authority on events and situations that may impact your stay. The guest is responsible for researching the area and events and determining whether it's appropriate for their stay. We are not responsible for anything off of our property and no refund will be issued for weather, issues with Florida owned beach or roads, or events and crowds that disrupt a guest's stay. Further, we have our home on a routine pest and insect maintenance schedule but that does not guarantee that guests will not encounter insects or other wildlife and any such encounter is not grounds for refund. We are a strict "no refund" vacation rental, if there is an issue with the home that makes the home uninhabitable, guests are welcome to cancel and receive a refund for any unused nights but if the guest has an issue with the home but still chooses to remain in the home there will be no refund issued for any reason.
