Private Garden Cottage

We took a hiatus from listing the cottage, but we are putting it back on the market for a few select events this year. Located in a quiet neighborhood just one mile south of the University of Oregon campus and in equally close proximity to great hikes, fresh NW cuisine, and downtown Eugene, the cottage is a great base from which to explore the Willamette Valley wine country, wander the eclectic neighborhoods of Eugene, or partake of world-class sporting and musical events. The space This custom-built modern cottage is located in the heart of lush and beautiful southeast Eugene. One mile south of the University of Oregon campus, the cottage is conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, markets, laundry, fantastic walking/biking paths, and most anything you might need. The cottage sleeps two and features a queen-size Murphy bed with a very comfortable Serta mattress. If you've never slept on a bed that folds out of the wall, this is your chance! Other features and amenities include: - Kitchenette with half-size refrigerator, sink, microwave, Cuisinart automatic drip coffeemaker, electric kettle, toaster, dishes, glasses, and utensils - Simple and lovely private bath with shower stall - Lofted ceiling with skylights and tons of natural light - Radiant floor heating (if you come during the winter months, your feet will love this) - Ceiling fan - Lovely views and shaded seating area to enjoy our Oregon garden, featuring hundreds of blooming trees, shrubs, and ground cover as well as a kitchen garden from which you can sample blueberries and raspberries during the summer months. - Private entrance - Secure wireless Internet - Free parking on quiet street - Convenient access to local bus routes & several great parks The cottage was constructed by a local design-build firm and its eco-friendly design has received coverage in the local press. Guest access The cottage is a guest house behind our the primary house on the property, where the hosts live. The structures are distant enough to afford a sense of privacy and the entrance to the cottage is located through a side gate and separate walkway adjacent to the front house.
