Comfortable room with double bed, bedside cupboard, & wardrobe. Laptop table & chair, heater & room air-conditioning for comfort. Key lock on door for security & privacy. Share bathroom, lounge, kitchen, washing machine, dryer, & backyard gazebo. Please note we have 2 house-trained cats & several small pet birds. As a quiet person, I appreciate a quiet home life. Just tidy up after yourself & we'll be good! Parking in street. Shops, buses & trains a short walk away. Alexa Echo Dot in room The space Free-standing house and yard in a quiet, safe neighbourhood. 10-15 minutes walk to local shops and train station. Approximately 1-2 hours to Sydney CBD depending on traffic or mode of transport. Quakers Hill is located about halfway between the city centre and the Blue Mountains, with its national parks for bushwalking / hiking, camping, lookouts for sightseeing, etc. Street parking for car available out front (very safe, low traffic street). Joel and I live here, it is my home. You can expect 1 other room to possibly have guests at the same time as your stay. Heater and room air-conditioning unit is provided in the bedroom. You will be comfortable year round. Clean bedding is provided weekly as well as fresh bath towel. Soap, shower cap, etc are availablein the bathroom. Plenty of warm quilts for winter. 2 chairs on front porch, and table and chairs in gazebo in backyard are available for guest use, as well as a garden bench in the front yard. Wet wipes and tissues, LED candles, and warm blankets to snuggle under are located in the gazebo area. Kitchen and laundry are available for your use. The laubdry has new washing machine and dryer, and the kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, utensils, and cooking oils, sauces, and seasoning. Supply your own food. Just ask if you need assistance with anything. Food storage available in the kitchen and the fridge and freezer. Plates, bowls, cups, glasses, and cutlery are all provided. There is a TV screen in the common area with Googl Chrome attached for you to use (stream your own content). Guest access The whole house, other than my bedroom is accessible, including kitchen, lounge room (with TV), and outdoor gazebo with chairs and table. I prefer to use the lounge room myself, but there is a 2nd TV and sitting area in dining area, with ChromeCast, you can use as your own living space. You can come and go as you please, just let me know when you are out / when you are coming back. I will leave the front porch light on for you if you will be out at night. NOTE: No food to be kept in bedrooms. All food must be kept in kitchen. No food to be eaten in bedrooms. During your stay I'm a quiet person and happy to keep to myself, but welcome a conversation now and then Other things to note There are two cats in the household, Bella and Marcy. Both are housetrained and tame. They will stay out of your bedroom as long as you don't allow them in there while you are there, and close the door when you are not. Bella is very friendly and likes to be patted and to sit on your lap. Marcy is shy and will probably stay away from you. There is also a small parrotlet in the house named Fifi. Her cage is in my bedroom, but she is often out of her cage. She is allowed to fly around the house, but usually stays close to me. She is frindly and cute, but she is wary of strangers. There are several other pet birds in the lounge room as well, and it is VERY IMPORTANT to always check for birds before opening outside doors and to quickly close the doors again. NOTE: DO NOT KEEP ANY FOOD ITEMS IN THE BEDROOM. All grocery items must be kept in the kitchen. No food is to be eaten in the bedroom. There is an Alexa Echo Dot in your bedroom. You can use voice commands (start be saying "Alexa") to get information, play music, set alarms, etc. Registration Details Exempt
