The lovely city skyline is worth the extra steps of which there are 75 (small steps and it sounds more than it is) to reach the apartment. The positive being once you've climbed up the stairs you can relax with an extra glass of your favourite drink guilt free and watch the sun set over the Perth skyline. Enjoy your stay! Other things to note Scotland's ancient capital for five centuries, the 'Fair City' of Perth. Bustling, compact and beautifully situated on the banks of the River Tay in the east of Scotland, this city is a sparkling cosmopolitan gem that keeps on giving visit after visit. Located only an hour from Edinburgh or Glasgow, Perth is one of the most accessible cities in the country and is perfect for a holiday get away, weekend or city break. Our apartment is perfectly located for exploring all that Perth has to offer. Scone Palace, one of Scotland's most iconic landmarks, is just a short journey from the apartment and offers a fascinating glimpse into the country's rich history. For those interested in the production of Scotland's famous whisky, the Perth distillery & Strathearn distillery are nearby and offers tours of the facility. If you're interested in art and culture, the Perth Art Gallery & Museum is a must-visit free attraction. Located just a hundred yards from the apartment, Perth Museum and Art Gallery is the main museum and exhibition space in the city of Perth. It is located in the Marshall Monument, named in memory of Thomas Hay Marshall, a former provost of Perth. The gallery houses an impressive collection of works by Scottish artists. For those who enjoy golf, the North Inch Golf Club is just a short 5 minute walk away from the apartment and offers the stunning backdrop of the surrounding city skyline and views of the River Tay. Slightly further afield you've got fantastic golf courses, some of my personal favourites are as followed; Blairgowrie (Rosemount), Dunkeld, Pitlochry, Crieff, Auchterarder, Murrayshall and the stunning three golf courses at Gleneagles are all worth playing (Queens - Easiest & most scenic, Kings - Most traditional & hardest, PGA Centenary - Longest of the three and prestige of hosting the 2014 Ryder Cup). Just a short journey away, Auchterarder is a charming town that offers a range of dining and shopping options. One particular highlight is the several cafes and restaurants, such as Delivino, Kisa, Cairn Lodge and Henderson's, which serves up delicious dishes that are sure to satisfy. There is an award winning bakery which serves a takeaway menu with tasty offerings. Whether you're looking for a full Scottish breakfast, dinner or something lighter, you'll find something to suit your taste on the high street.
