This unit is equipped with a queen bed, 3/4 bath with a walk-in shower, kitchenette and a sitting area. In the bedroom area you'll find a Smart TV for streaming services. This suite is furnished with everything you need, including a romantic propane fireplace. Sleeps 3 but is better suited for 2 people. The Carter House is one of Friday Harbor's first important historic homes. Built in 1911, it was a wedding gift for a wealthy merchant's daughter. It has been beautifully restored. Located in historic downtown Friday Harbor, it is only 3 blocks from the ferry dock and Port of Friday Harbor. The blocks surrounding the Artist's Suite offer many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 5 minute walk from the Artist's Suite! A brand new mattress for the queen bed has been updated in this unit in January of 2021. This Unit has great cell phone reception and Wi-fi. However, San Juan Island is a remote location, and it is good to keep in mind that intermittent, short, Wi-Fi disruptions are very normal for this area. This Suite does not have Air Conditioning. This is a Non-Smoking unit *Toaster may set off smoke alarm. Toaster made available upon request. Please be advised, yard maintenance may occur during your stay. The internet / Wi-fi at this house should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing.
