Imagine a place where you can pull up the duvet, throw open the doors and look straight at one of the Lake District’s iconic mountains. If you have found the Roe, you have found a little bit of heaven on earth. This bespoke cabin has been lovingly designed by its owners and every detail has been carefully thought through. Everything you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of your life is here. There’s just songbirds for company and our resident Belted Galloway cows. A place where peace and tranquility meet, where you can refresh your soul. If you have found the Roe, you have found a little bit of heaven on earth. This bespoke cabin has been lovingly designed by its owners and every detail has been carefully thought through. Everything you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of your life is here. There’s just songbirds for company and our resident Belted Galloway cows. There is literally nothing between the foot of the kingsize bed and the most incredible view. Tucked behind the headboard is a mini kitchen, fully equipped for you to brew a pot of coffee or prepare a healthy meal. When you arrive, you’ll find a bottle of fizz chilling in the fridge and some home-made biscuits to enjoy. We’re within walking distance of the village if you want to go to one of the two local pubs. In the shower room, there will be no chilly toes, as the whole cabin enjoys underfloor heating. Outside you can sit back and watch the stars – In The Vale enjoys some of the darkest skies in the UK – if you’re lucky you’ll catch a shooting star or a hint of the northern lights. There’s a fire-pit to keep you warm as the sun goes down – which doubles as a griddle if you fancy cooking on it!. And once night falls, the wildlife comes out to play. You’ll hear our resident owls and sometimes catch sight of the deer as they move silently across our farm. Or you can hop in to the wood fired hot tub, on your own private patio, and while away your time, letting the heat soak away your worries. Our team has thought of everything, so you don’t have to… lovely local bathroom products are provided, fluffy white towels, plush white robes and of course immaculate Egyptian cotton bedding. We’ve deliberately not turned the wifi on… if you ache for the kind of break we offer, there’s no need for screens! (But if you are desperate for a daily dose of social media – we can pick up a good signal from the mast in Threlkeld). In The Vale is about four miles from the town of Keswick – here you’ll find a lively market town beside the lake. Here there are lots of places to eat out and an excellent theatre which has shows on all year round. We can’t wait to welcome you.
