L'Abitazione del Lauro, the larger of the two independent apartments, is spread over two floors and has 4 bedrooms (5th optional), 2 bathrooms, and a private entrance. It is ideal for families or groups, who want to stay little under the hills of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, immersed in nature, in the peace of the countryside, surrounded by wild animals and immersed in the large equipped garden. The space Lauro: where time slows, between hills and country secrets There's a place, just a few miles from Reggio Emilia, where the Reggio countryside still holds its ancient rhythms. It is called Il Lauro, and it is the largest apartment in our Podere: two floors, independent entrance, spaces that seem made specifically for those looking for a different from the usual vacation. No keys, no rush. You enter with a code, leave the city behind and start breathing. Arrival: all set for you Once the door is unlocked, you are welcomed by a state-of-the-art washer and dryer; because even on vacation, certain amenities make a difference. On the right, the heart of the house: a romantic stay and a kitchen designed for those who love to cook (or just make a good coffee with our Illy Francis in the morning). On the left, the bathroom on the ground floor, completely renovated in 2024, with a walk-in shower. The living room: the real protagonist There's something you don't expect here. A state-of-the-art wood-burning fireplace, always ready to light, with wood coming directly from Podere, so zero kilometer, really. In front, a new five-seater couch and a corner dedicated to music and entertainment, with a Samsung Frame Smart TV that at first glance looks like a picture hanging on the wall. The winter evenings, in here, all have a different flavor. The kitchen Fridge/freezer, traditional oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher. Table for 6, extendable to 8 depending on the number of guests. Ready to cook with the products of our land. Yes, because we leave something extra for you directly (but about that, let's talk about it soon). The first floor: four rooms (plus one) Going up the stairs you reach the sleeping area. Four fully renovated bedrooms, each with its own heat pump air conditioning and a 43 "Smart TV Frame. Yes, they look like paintings here too. Three double bedrooms of about 15 square meters, a fourth bedroom with two single beds and balcony. From mid-2026 we can add a fifth air-conditioned room (single) for €20 per day, upon request. Ask us, it's not always available. Each room has hangers, a mirror, a multi-purpose bench, and a two-door closet with interior lights. The first floor bathroom, renovated in 2022, has a double sink and a glass shower enclosure with all the products you need. New furnishings, modern amenities, but the rustic flavor of the old Podere has remained. It's what makes it special. Outside: the garden is large, and has some surprises The outdoor space is spacious and changes character depending on the season. Under a lit pergola, in a corner of the garden surrounded by fields, we set up an outdoor dining area with a picnic table for 8 people. The summer dinners below, with the sunset leaning on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, are remembering dinners. In front of the house, a small playground for the little ones: swing, swing, a fairytale house and other games that vary with the season and with the group we host. And then there's what's growing here This is the part no other listing will tell you about. We leave what our farm has to offer at that time: depending on the season you can find salads, tomatoes, zucchini, green beans, eggplant, strawberries, blackberries, wild plums, raspberries, figs. Nothing guaranteed, all authentic. What the earth gives. What's around A few kilometers away: museums, farms with direct sale, dairies, vineyards and wineries. Cheeses, wines, honey, vegetables at zero km. For those who want to taste the real Emilian cuisine, a few hundred meters away there is a farmhouse open on Friday nights, Saturday nights and Sundays at lunch . Here you can find curated cuisine, typical dishes, authentic rural setting. Reggio Emilia is about 10 km away. You need a car to get around, we'll let you know right away. For who you are (and not) Lauro is not for those looking for the city center. In the north and south courtyards, there is ample space for campers or more bulky vehicles. If you have motorcycles, bicycles or other items that you want to secure, we can provide you with a closed shelter (on request and to be agreed upon booking). To reach the property there is a stretch of white road of about 150 meters. The Podere is completely video-monitored outside with a state-of-the-art system, this is because it is a quiet place, but we like to have everything under control and above all to make our guests feel safe. Other things to note From the property, you can conveniently order various types of takeout. About 1 km from the property you can also walk to a pizzeria restaurant, a pharmacy, and a renowned ice cream shop, as well as a couple of bars and a bakery. We always try to leave the essentials for breakfast and basic necessities for free use. For any need, you will find a supermarket and various types of shops about 3 km from the Podere. A state-of-the-art BBQ with lid, controlled ventilation and thermostat, fueled by charcoal or, even better, by local wood born and raised on the Podere, is available free of charge for all grill-loving guests who request it.
