The second is interior with no window, and has its own bathroom with a standing shower. Both have ceiling fans and air purifiers, and the floor was redone less than a year ago. It’s quiet. When you’re ready to sleep, you don’t hear the street. Plenty of storage to hang and fold your things, plus sheets, blankets and towels. One note on heat: the building turns it on automatically below 59 degrees. Opening a window or running the AC cools things down fast, especially with the fans going. Shorter stays are case by case. There is also a shared courtyard out back that you’re welcome to use. I come by only if you ask me to. Otherwise the place is yours for your stay. Other things to note This is a pre-war building, so it has character and some quirks that come with age. I’ve renovated the floors, the bathroom, and now the kitchen over the past years, and keep it very clean. Guests who treat it the same way I always welcome back. A few practical things worth knowing: There’s an interior staircase between the two floors. No stairs to get into the building, but the bedrooms are down a flight. Heat is controlled by the building and comes on automatically when it drops below 59 degrees. Cooling is window AC units, and with the ceiling fans the place cools down fast. The block is quiet, but you’ll hear the city occasionally, as you would anywhere downtown.
