The space Our home is located less than five minutes drive from the small town of Welmilla, which is some 15 minutes away from BANDARAGAMA. The E1 motorway, linking the airport and the deep south of Sri Lanka is just a couple of minutes away from here. Our villa is located in a very peaceful area surrounded by small houses and a few large villas. Nearby are ricefields and open areas, where are you will feel close to nature. From the large roof terrace, which is yours to enjoy at any time, you will be able to look over a vast panorama, and will be able to spot many colourful birds, and certainly be able to meet the resident family of monkeys crossing nearby trees and rooftops. We have a German Shepherd dog, his name is Baxter, he is very friendly and caring. He is not allowed in the house except with our permission. There is a nearby shop opposite our home for consumables, there there is a good supermarket in the village together with many small shops and a few restaurants. We would recommend the following places to visit ... Paaruwa nature resort , which has a fabulous outdoor swimming pool, an excellent restaurant which overlooks a vast lake. This is just 10 minutes away by tuk tuk, or just over 20 minutes walk. Pearl Bay Karting Track and Waterpark is just a 12 minute drive away. This is Sri Lanka is premier Karting track. We have all driven on the Circuit in the go-carts numerous times, great fun. It has a really good restaurant too. Hot master restaurant, About 15 minutes tuk tuk ride away. A beautiful outdoor restaurant overlooking ricefields with great food and value. A fabulous Buddhist temple is just 10 minutes drive away, nestled between two lakes and ricefields. Incredibly beautiful and tranquil. During your stay You are welcome to use our kitchen occasionally should you need to, or store items in our fridge.
