As such, each renter must sign a lease, submit a thorough application including work history, financial information, personal and professional references, background checks and ultimately get approval from the board. It may take ~ten days once an application is submitted to get a response. Also, the building charges application fees that add up to approximately $1000 which you will need to pay to cover additional processing. If the application needs to be resubmitted, there is an additional $200 for each additional submittal. Ultimately if the application is not approved, all fees (your Airbnb booking fees) other than the application fee(s) that you pay to the building will be returned.
