Large stylish log cabin for up to 8 on idyllic historic estate "Alvasjön" in the middle of the forest next to Sweden's largest private lake. Surrounded by one of Sweden's most beautiful nature reserves and best sport fishing areas. Fantastic swimming, walking, cycling, canoeing and blueberry picking and mushrooming in a serene and beautiful environment. Use (at own risk) of boats, canoes and mountain bikes. Get the kids away from their phones and tablets and out on adventures! The space Wonderful large 3 storey log cabin in the middle of the forest next to a lake with beautiful views. Well appointed kitchen with induction hob, large fridge and under counter freezer, oven and stereo. Beautiful sitting room with large windows overlooking the forest and lake with a fireplace. Tasteful dining room. Upstairs there are four bedrooms - two doubles with 180cm beds, one triple with comfortable solid bunk beds (90cm wide 200cm long) and a 90cm wide bed and a single room with a 90cm bed). There is a recently built tasteful shower room on this floor as well. Downstairs in the basement is a shower and toilet, a sauna (we encourage guests to use the wood fired sauna by the beach instead) and lots of utility space (including two washing machines). There are decks on either side of the house with views of the forest and the lake, one deck gets evening sun and the other morning sun. Guest access We have good quality mountain bikes for most ages (two baby seats and a tag along or two), canoes, three rowing boats, life jackets and SUPs that you can borrow at your own risk. In the summer there is a diving platform set off the beach which the children love. There is also a traditional Swedish wood fired sauna on the beach which you are welcome to fire up. Fishing rods are available to rent or buy locally and there are pike and perch in the lake. Other things to note It's sensible to wear long sleeved clothes if you are picking blueberries or doing anything where you are moving very slowly in the forest. There are mosquitoes, ticks and midges around at certain times of year.
