Cosy & Quirky Cottage Retreat

Welcome to Brandybuck Cottage, a unique arts & crafts inspired 1850’s cottage located in the heart of the vibrant village of Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, with pubs, walks, cafes and restaurants all on your doorstep. Brandybuck cottage is a cosy two bedroomed, self catering cottage. There is an additional third bedroom located in the grounds of the cottage in the outhouse. There is also private parking for 2 cars on the driveway, a large terrace & secret garden to enjoy. The space The cottage has been renovated to a charming and quirky standard featuring a bespoke country kitchen, cosy living room with a log burner, modern bathroom, 1 double bedroom and 1 single bedroom. In the grounds of the cottage is the outhouse, which is a spacious cabin featuring an office space, large dining area, a sofa bed to host an extra 2 guests and a convenient WC. PLEASE NOTE the Outhouse IS NOT joined to the cottage, but is located next to it. The cottage is fully equipped with all the conveniences you would expect in your own home. Featuring wifi throughout the cottage, outhouse and gardens. Smart TV, washer & dryer, dishwasher, Smeg fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, oven, grill & Hob, utensils, pots, plates pans etc, log burner, iron, ironing board, shower and wc, hairdryer and adequate storage within the bedrooms. In the established garden you will find a table to seat 6, swing seat, outdoor lighting and a BBQ. We provide fresh linen for the beds and bath towels to make your stay comfortable. Brandybuck cottage has been decorated using an arts and crafts inspired theme, where the walls feature William Morris wallpaper, which is printed locally in Loughborough, an abundance of interesting art prints and quirky locally sourced items. Please note we DO NOT host stag or hen parties. The cottage is based in a very peaceful residential area, so noise must be kept to a minimum after 11pm to be respectful of our neighbours. We do encourage guests to use the separate outhouse away from the cottage if they are having a later evening. Guest access Guests can enjoy access to the whole cottage, the outhouse, the terrace and secret garden and the private driveway. Other things to note Mountsorrel is a fantastic location with great transport links to both Leicester, Loughborough and Nottingham. With plenty of local pubs, canals, country walks, family farm, shops, cafes and even a Michelin Starred Restaurant called Johns House, all within a few minute’s walk from the Cottage, you wont be short of activities to keep you entertained on your stay.
