Welcome to Humble Heart Homestead! A hop, skip and a jump from Morrisville, our rustic campsite cabin full of comforts. Complete with a queen size wool mattress, organic linens, plush towels, fire pit, outdoor cooking area and on demand hot water shower. All you need to relax and enjoy the beauty of Vermont. Down a tree lined path you'll find the composting toilet and outdoor shower (shared with one other campsite). Minutes to the rail trail, Stowe, Elmore, hiking, swimming, breweries and more. The space We are a 3 acre working homestead complete with ducks, chickens, rabbits, cats and dogs, veggie gardens, summer camp, homeschool programs and growing perennial fruit trees and shrubs. We are conveniently located 10 minutes from Stowe and Lake Elmore, with easy access to Vermont's Rail Trail, local breweries and lots of hiking options. A perfect stop on your bike packing trip, weekend getaway from NYC, Boston and Montreal, or a great place to see Vermont's gorgeous fall leaves! We look forward to welcoming you! Why you'll love it: - Serene beauty close to town, restaurants, breweries, hiking, biking and swimming, Stowe, NE Kingdom. - A comfortable bed with warm blankets for cool summer and fall nights. - Outdoor kitchen well stocked with dishes, utensils, cooking pots/pans, cutting board, French press and two burner camping stove. - On demand outdoor hot water shower for after your long day of biking or hiking (shared). - Clean, odor free composting toilet (shared). - Private fire pit with firewood provided. - Friendly cats, spirited dogs, adorable ducks, chickens and rabbits. Things to know: - We are a working farm! This is a peaceful spot but we start early. Our rooster crows, our ducks quack and sometimes our dogs bark. We provide ear plugs for lighter sleepers. - We are happy to provide a farm tour if scheduled in advance or by chance if we can accommodate you. - If you are interested in local, chemical free food we can hook you up with provisions from our farm and other local artisans and farmers. - We ask that you use earth friendly, biodegradable products on our land. We provide soap and toothpaste if you need. - We take our commitment to stewarding our land seriously. Please only burn wood in the fire pits, no smoking or chemicals in the campsites please. - We are family friendly! Guest access Guests have access to their private campsite, shared composting toilet and on demand hot water outdoor shower. We are happy to take you around to see our gardens, chickens and ducks and provide you with current availability of farm fresh food including raw milk, fresh organic eggs, local honey and maple syrup. In season we have produce straight from the garden. For an additional fee we can cook you breakfast - all local and organic and mostly straight from the farm. (Breakfast is not always available but please ask!) Other things to note No pets please. We have two friendly and high energy German shorthaired pointers, a golden retriever, barn cats, rabbits and many livestock birds. We love dogs and cats but cannot accommodate them.
