The space Welcome to our stylish Karrugang apartment – your modern oasis in Canberra. "Karrugang," meaning "magpie" in the local Ngunnawal language, reflects the abundant birdlife in the area. Designed for comfort and long stays, this thoughtfully appointed apartment offers everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable home-away-from-home experience. KITCHEN: Our fully equipped kitchen is a chef's delight, featuring sleek stone benchtops, an induction cooktop, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee pod machine, dishwasher, and a fridge/freezer. We've stocked it with all the essentials – from crockery and cutlery to pots, pans, and cooking utensils and cooking basics (e.g. oil, salt, pepper) – so you can whip up anything from a quick breakfast to a gourmet meal. We also provide a complimentary starter pack of tea, coffee pods, sugar, and cereal to get you started. For your convenience, a European-style laundry is tucked away in the kitchen, complete with a washing machine, dryer, and laundry powder. We also offer a clothes horse for a more eco-friendly drying option. BEDROOM: The bedroom comes with a king size bed with linens, wardrobe with full-length mirrors and block out blinds. There are side lamps, USB chargers & spare outlets for each bedside, and a Goog1e Assistant smart clock: "Hey Goog1e, wake me up at 7am" or "Hey Goog1e, play ocean sounds". The bed comes with electric blankets to keep you warm. LIVING ROOM: This comes with a designer leather couch, and a large screen Android TV with Netflix, YouTube Premium and Chromecast. You can get advice from the Goog1e Assistant in the living room - "Hey Goog1e, what's the weather today?". We provide an air purifier in the living area. We have a dedicated study desk, 32” 4K monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse, and a chair. BATHROOM: The bathroom comes with a toilet, sink and shower. We provide towels for each registered guest, toilet paper, bodywash and shampoo. SMART HOME: Our apartment is equipped with smart home technology, including motion, door, and temperature sensors, to ensure your comfort and security. These sensors help us maintain the apartment and provide you with the best possible experience. Please do not tamper with the sensors. For your peace of mind, there are no cameras inside the apartment, although there are security cameras in the building's common areas. ROOFTOP BBQ: You will have access during the duration of your stay to the shared facilities - the rooftop outdoor BBQ area providing a lovely view towards the surrounding mountains. HIRE CAR AVAILABLE: Tesla Model Y Long Range is available for hire (subject to fees and availability) for your convenience. FREE PARKING: Enjoy complimentary undercover parking for one vehicle (maximum height 2.2m). NO SMOKING: This is a non-smoking property, meaning no smoking is allowed on the balcony or inside the apartment. We also kindly ask that guests refrain from entering the property while smelling of smoke. Guest access You will have access to one allocated, underground parking space.
