The rooms at Ksar Jouamaa are called Ghorfas. Ksours are historic buildings that were used to protect villages. This accommodation is part of the Tunisian Heritage Institute and is licensed by the National Tourism Authority. What makes these ghorfas unique is that compared to their troglodyte-like architecture, they are warm in winter and cool in summer.
