If you can remove thought and simply listen, the sound of nature and at times the actual sound of silence is all you can hear. I have to put this in right away. You will need to bring your own sleeping bags, pillows etc. Mattresses included. The space The address in this listing is not the actual address. That address is the closest address to the property. Please follow the directions carefully. This off-grid (no hydro, no city plumbing or hook ups. Uses solar, batteries, generator and propane) camper is 14 kilometres, about a 25 minute drive off the main hwy. It offers a fair size living area and enough room to sleep 4 comfortably, 6 uncomfortably for your glamping experience. Glamping meaning glamorous camping. Bedding not provided. Bring your food before you arrive. A solar system with a backup generator provides power for lighting and outlets. A well-appointed kitchen includes propane powered fridge and stove, with kitchenware and spices sufficient for your stress free cooking, where you can enjoy the discovery of the wilderness and beauty right in the middle of the woods. Potable water from a spring is available for your drink. Hot water is available for dishes and shower. Free firewood and propane are also available at camper and summer kitchen by the pool. The indoor washroom has a shower, vanity and toilet for your night time, liquid only, convenience. (Please no tissue or solids in the toilet). There is a sauna next to the pool within the common area. The sauna is a wonderful place where you can wash up. Washing up the old fashioned way consists of lighting the wood stove in the sauna and having that soothing, deep, hot pour opening enjoyment. Guest access The large outdoor pool, surrounded by a wide wooden deck, filled with natural spring water, is a great place to relax and swim right beside the fire pit, horseshoe pits and summer kitchen, (which includes a propane cook stove, BBQ and kitchenware). The pool area is a common area. Most of the time it is vacant but there may be other friendly, welcoming guests or family members enjoying that space. If you are looking for an oasis, accessible by car, this is it! Other things to note You will need to bring your own viewing screens, cards, games, puzzles etc for entertainment. You will also need your own bedding/sleeping bags and pillows. There are 4 beds. 2 small singles and 2 small doubles. The couch and kitchen table are the small doubles. Your groceries are all you need for this adventure. The nearest grocery store is in the Thunder Bay. It is best to stop and pick up food before you venture out here. There is a small convenience store and LCBO (beer and liquor store) nearby, but it closes at 6pm during summer hours. Everything else is provided.
