Croeso (welcome) to North Wales, Gilfach is a cosy 1 bedroom self-contained annex situated 2 miles from the market town Dolgellau in the footfalls of Cader Idris mountain in the Snowdonia National Park. Created just for two we hope you enjoy your home away from home while you’re visiting the beautiful mountains. We are ideally located for mountain walking, mountain biking at Coed Y Brenin, beach days at Barmouth & Fairbourne and outdoor thrill activities at many attractions including Zip World. The space Gilfach is an annex semi-detached to our farm property, surrounded by rolling fields and beautiful scenery whether you are a thrill seeker or simply looking for a peaceful getaway. It is self-contained with its own parking space and outside entrance giving you the freedom to come and go as you wish. It has 1 bedroom with an ensuite, living room, kitchen with dining table and has outside seating for you to enjoy a nice cup of tea or a cold beer, taking in the Welsh air. An area inside the front door is provided for your outdoor clothing and doubles as a safe bike store space. The property is located in the footfalls of Cader Idris in walking distance to the pony path to start the accent up the mountain. Dolgellau town centre is less than 2 miles away with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Mawddach trail starts in the town and you can walk or cycle all the way into Barmouth from here with outstanding views all along the way. Coed Y Brenin is a few miles away with dedicated cycle routes. Sorry no pets, no smoking. You will be joined at the property by chicken, and the occasional naughty sheep wandering.
