Read below for more information The space We invite you to live an experience of closeness to nature and respect for the environment. Look at the stars from your bed and wake up to photograph the sunrise without leaving the dome. Domos Uspallata is a family project located in the Uspallata Valley, in the heart of the Andes Mountains. You'll have the opportunity to experience nature from the inside (as if you were camping) but with great comfort. The six domes share land with our agro-ecological farm, where you'll find an orchard, alfalfa plantations, poplar forests, and various animals. From the dome's terrace, you'll have high views of a large pasture with the mountain range in the background. Ideal for appreciating its vastness, birdwatching and other species, or simply having a glass of wine while watching the sunset. During the day you can reach a stream where meltwater runs, it is only a 7-minute walk from the dome. Regional and homemade cuisine. We have a food sales service (lunch and dinner) so you don't have to leave the place. Three-course menu; traditional and fire cooking. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. (Service may vary by season) WINTER particularities (June to September): 1. The dome is heated with a wood stove. We recommend keeping it on at night and in the early morning when the temperature drops considerably. We provide the firewood and can teach you how to use it if you wish. 2. In the early morning, some days, the water pipes can freeze for a few hours, in the afternoon it is always fixed. Should this happen, we'll give you a can of water. SUMMER (October - April) features: on sunny days it can be very hot inside, so we recommend coming with the desire to enjoy outdoor spaces and outdoor activities. At night, it always cools down. Each house has: - Box springs, bed linens, towels and towels, blankets. - Private bathroom with 24-hour hot water - Kitchen: refrigerator with freezer, electric stove and electric kettle (includes dishes; basic equipment - no oven) - Wi-Fi connection - Country breakfast included (served in the dome) - Wood heating: it is part of the proposal that you manage your own heating by lighting and feeding the stove. (We provide you with firewood, of course) - Private deck with outdoor lounge chairs, tables and chairs. - Small private patio with views of different points of the landscape (each dome is unique!) - Reception from 9 am to 9 pm Access to common areas: - Tank-type pool with solarium terrace (available in summer months) A barbecue area with night lighting (common areas - no fires in private domes) - Grills with tools (common spaces) - Camping tables - Sun loungers and outdoor furniture - Slack-line and balance board (recreational games) - Exclusive access to Arroyo Uspallata - 360° views of the valley and the mountain range - Semi-covered parking Activities: - We offer 1, 2 and 3 hour guided horseback rides with different routes (not included in the rate - can be arranged during the stay) - We work together with local providers so you can do various adventure tourism activities: Rafting, Climbing, Canopy, Guided Trekking. - Massage services (requested in advance) We are one hour from the Alta Montaña snow parks (open from June to August), Puente del Inca, Aconcagua Provincial Park and 10 minutes from downtown Uspallata. We try to generate the least possible impact on the environment and minimize energy consumption and carbon footprint; therefore we discourage the use of air conditioning. Around the domes you will find shady areas under centenary willows and poplar forests. Other things to note FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: What is glamping? A: It is a new concept, a form of nature-friendly tourism intended for nature lovers, which combines the experience of traditional camping with amenities and comforts such as a bed, a bathroom with hot water, heating, and a kitchen. Q: Where is it? A: We are in the south of the Uspallata Valley, in the district of La Fundición. 100 km (1h30min from Mendoza Capital) and 10 minutes from downtown Uspallata. Q: How do I book? A: Directly by clicking on the Book button. Airbnb will then handle the payment (remember that Airbnb works in dollars) Q: Can I get there if I don't have a vehicle? A: We recommend arriving in your own vehicle or a rental vehicle. If not, you can take a bus from the Andesmar company from the Mendoza terminal, get off at the Uspallata cemetery and walk 10 minutes. Ask about private transfer services from Mendoza and taxi service in Uspallata. Q: Do you sell lunch and dinner? A: Yes, we offer customized meal service. This way, you won't need to leave the complex to eat. Q: Is the dome private? A: Of course, all the domes we offer are private and have a built-in bathroom. We also have a common area where you can have barbecues and picnics (it is strictly forbidden to make fires in the domes, it is an area of high risk of forest fires) Q: Do the domes have heating? A: Yes. They have wood heating. Part of the experience is visitors lighting and feeding wood into the stoves. Q: Do the domes have air conditioning? A: Yes, only during the summer months. However, we invite you to enjoy the outdoor spaces during the day. There are shaded patios where you can rest in lounge chairs and hammocks. Q: Is there parking? A: We have semi-covered private parking in the complex. Q: What activities can be done? A: We offer horseback riding and contact with local agencies for other adventure tourism activities. Q: Is smoking allowed? A: Only outside and please be responsible, as it can cause a fire due to carelessness. Do not discard filters on the floor. Q: Are pets allowed? A: We do not allow pets. There are animals on the property and the presence of pets can cause conflicts with them. We do not make exceptions. Q: Can I check in before 3 pm or check out after 11 am? A: Check-in is after 3 pm and check-out is at 11 am. You can leave your luggage at the front desk if you arrive earlier. Q: Do you have a 24-hour front desk? A: The reception staff will be happy to assist you from 9 am to 9 pm, after which you can contact us if you have an emergency. Q: What is the climate like in Uspallata? A: There is a wide daily temperature range. It is usually very hot during the day and cold at night. We recommend bringing both winter and summer clothes regardless of the time of year. Q: Does it snow in Uspallata? A: It is very rare for snow to fall in the valley. However, during the winter months you can go to the High Mountain area where you will find snow parks. OTHER ASPECTS TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT: Children 12 years and older are accepted. We respect and take great care of the nature, flora and fauna of the place. Sewage is processed in biodigesters, so it's important not to flush paper down the toilet. Cosmetic products (soap, shampoo, conditioner, detergent) are biodegradable and provided by us. The tap water is drinkable. In the winter months, on colder days the pipes may freeze, so water service may be interrupted for a few hours during the early hours/mornings. Don't worry, if this happens you'll have water drums available. We invite you to enjoy the tranquility of nature and the silence of the place. Respecting rest hours is important so that all visitors have this possibility. We do not reschedule reservations due to bad weather. This applies to the opening of the international tunnel (Argentina-Chile). Therefore, we ask you to be aware of its traffic, anticipating to notify that you will not come if the conditions do not allow it within the free cancellation period.
