Hargate Hall was built in 1899 as a gentleman's residence. It was converted into self catering apartments in the 1990's. This listing is for booking the whole of Hargate Hall with all the 12 independent self catering apartments with a total of 22 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms set in 5 acres of grounds. Hargate makes a perfect space to family get togethers. You can set the main Hall area up a a general socialising area, or set it up with tables and chairs so you can all eat together. The space Hargate Hall apartment offers a total of 22 bedrooms 15 bathrooms 12 livingrooms with kitchenettes Each living area has sofas and/or armchairs, dining tables and a fully fitted kitchen area with all the usual cooking appliances you would expect, including electric oven and hob, microwave, and fridge. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and glassware. the bedrooms break down as: 2 x twin rooms 5 x double rooms 8 x double rooms with raised mezzanine (2 mattress on a raised floor - aimed at teenagers) 1 x single with bunk 6 x double with bunk Additional tables and chairs provided to be used in the main hall. There is plenty of space for parking around 30 cars. There are 5 acres of grounds which gives a mix of terraced area with picnic tables, lawns, woodland, and natural grassland to encourage wildlife. All the apartments have electricity meters which take £1 coins to pay for lighting and other general power (hot water is not metered) and typically costs no more than £1 for your stay. The central heated is provided by conventional radiators, and there is a thermostat in the apartment to control this. Guest access You will have exclusive use of all the apartments as well the communal areas of the rest of the building. There are 5 acres of grounds which you can also explore. Other things to note Wifi – we provide free wifi however as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control. Mobile phone signal is generally good in the area.
