Route 54 Relic in Penn Yan.
Route 54 Relic in Penn Yan.
Description
1880's home now 3 units. Built when steam ships still piloted Keuka. Penn Yan can be accessed by sidewalk from here (approx 1 mile to center), steps from Red Jacket Park at Keuka Lake on one side, Seasons on Keuka Lake on the other. Close to Keuka Outlet Trail, on the Keuka Lake wine trail, and between Main Deck restaurant and Rt 54 (WE ARE NOT WATERFRONT). There is plenty to do between shopping in Penn Yan, hiking the Outlet, or going on a wine tour around Keuka and/or Seneca Lake. The space This unit faces Route 54 and is steps away from the park. Access to this apartment is the front door facing the main road. It is the entire front half of the old home, upstairs and down. There is an easily navigated spiral staircase leading to the bedrooms and bath. There is a screened gazebo off the front porch, private to this unit. The back yard is shared, it is a good size with plenty of tree canopy in the summer, a fire table with chairs on a gravel area we call the "patio" and a lean to off the shed with a picnic table and gas grill. This unit also has its own gas grill. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has a full size with fold out twin. There are sheets and blankets in the trunk in the living room for anyone preferring to sleep on the couch. It is on a busy 2 lane road (especially in summer), but is usually pretty quiet between 10 pm and 5 am, excepting the occasional truck. It is also located close to the local airport, if you are very sensitive to noise PLEASE take note before booking. Guest access Guests have access to everything in the apartment, with the exception of the linen closet on the second floor. Additional access to all outside areas. Other things to note There is another Airbnb in the same building, which also allows well behaved pets. There are small metal garbage cans for bagged dog waste, one in front, and one in the back of the house for anyone's use. Parking instructions are important to pay attention to. It is essential that all vehicles have access to the turn around area in back and that the driveway is not blocked. It is also helpful that any vehicles along the fence line stay far enough away from the sidewalk that exiting vehicles have a clear view of people, especially small children, walking the sidewalk to and from the park. Due to the large trees on the property we cannot pave and paint lines, but we do our best with blue reflectors to mark parking areas. If there is a second vehicle, parking between the blue reflectors along the fence line is helpful. Please don't hesitate to ask questions about parking. Referring to the pictures can be most helpful. There is a spot for EV parking, which is also in the pictures and can be utilized if no one on the property has an EV. Registration Details YAT0391
