"Clay Cottage" at Woodland Park- Artistic & Cozy

(Only for extended stay- message w/questions!) This charming comfortable cottage is a creative living space full of handmade character. Two porches- one screened. Centralized hub location for Lexington. Walkable neighborhood. Univ. KY in walking distance- 7 mi to Keeneland, Grocery 1.5 blocks away, nearby local restaurants and amenities walkable. Quiet & secluded, although on the edge of downtown. Across from the nicest park in LEX. Wonderful peaceful hideaway downtown! Excellent Location! The space This space was originally my mother's ceramic studio- she was a functional potter for over many years. The cottage was renovated into a cute studio apartment, and the indoor and outdoor space are filled with hand-made details and her wonderful art and ceramic collection. Hand-made dishes and glasses for your use, both ceramic and hand-blown glass. Bottom 2 shelves are for guest use- Top shelves are for display only. Super comfortable and convenient to everything you need! The bed downstairs is a Full double sized Murphy Bed (it folds down into the room from a cabinet- please open the doors slowly as they jump the track sometimes), and a Queen sized platform bed is upstairs with a Sealy memory foam type mattress. There are (2) two additional single beds upstairs. *Please note the single mattresses are in the nooks in the roof eaves- pull the single beds out into the room. These are great for kids/young adults. Also note the ceiling in the upstairs is relatively low. The 1/2 bath upstairs is not enclosed. The full bath is downstairs. Full sized stacked Washer and Dryer and a clothesline.The house is a blend of handmade, funky, cozy and charming. We have left a lot of our mother's art collection in the space for your enjoyment. (we ask you to treat these objects with respect- they are there for your visual enjoyment only) It's a cool, unique artist's get-away with handmade tiles floors in the bathroom, and art everywhere. The INTERNET works great! Fine for telecommuting - I installed a mesh network so the speeds are fast. Guest access Whole house access- and backyard area. There are two porches, the downstairs one is screened-in and has a dining table, ceiling fans, a sink and seating area. The upstairs deck is open and gives you a birds-eye view. I checked the box for swimming pool- as there is a very nice public outdoor pool in Woodland Park directly across the street- (seasonal). $5.00 per adult for admission. Woodland park has wonderful old trees, a flower garden, skateboard park, tennis courts, and a nice playground. Info sheets on the fridge with additional helpful info. Stove instructions in the drawer to the left of the stove- its an IKEA stove so a little different than usual. Other things to note There is ONE parking space in the shared driveway directly in front of the cottage/ garage door. Plenty of additional Street parking. The cottage is behind the main house. Kroger is a very nice grocery store 1.5 blocks away. Go out the door and turn left- walk 1.5 blocks and you are there. Open from 6 am until 9 pm Please touch base with me if you have more questions.
