The Blue Treehouse Cottage @ Bobs Lake

Nestled in the maple trees overlooking gorgeous Bob's Lake sits this unique 1 1/2 Storey Blue Cottage featuring tons of relaxing space both inside & out. Spacious open concept layout with its bright high ceiling cozy living room+walkout dining room onto the giant covered porch making you feel like you've just stepped into an adult treehouse! Fall Colours stays of 3 nights min possible - just reach out. Winter stays to access ice fishing on Bobs possible too 3 night min. The space Fully stocked Kitchen has full size appliances (no dishwasher) & breakfast nook. Kitchen has been carefully thought-out and should have everything you might need. The MASSIVE covered porch has a propane BBQ, Patio chairs, outdoor dining set & rocking bench, spare fridge for cold drinks, are set out for your enjoyment while you enjoy the views of the lake & birds in the trees. The fire pit is located down by the waters edge. UV light water treatment so you can safely drink the water right from the tap, outdoor sleeping bunkie with electrical & its own covered porch (accounts for the 3rd bedroom), circular driveway for easy access & parking, double-wide floating dock. Just bring your bed linens & all bedding, blankets, pillows & own towels. NO pets allowed. Bedrooms are on the 2nd floor of the cottage each with a dresser & closet (stairs to get upstairs are steep). This is a self service cottage so please leave it clean as you found it. No wild parties as the neighbours live next door. Cottage is equipped with games & tons of movies for lazy/rainy nights. Boat launch is 5 mins away from Cottage if you are planning on bringing a boat. Cottage sits on a hill with a trail or stone stairs (no railing) down to the waters edge where you will find a stone firepit area to relax & enjoy the lakefront. In Peak season (May- mid July water depth off dock is about 8-10') (swim ladder off end of dock). Mid July thru August onward water level drops to about 5 - 6 feet here as Bobs Lake feeds the Rideau canal. Perfect for floating around on floaties, not great for swimming as the shore is natural with a soft bottom & aquatic plants (lake weeds). Crown Land swimming rocks are a short canoe ride away that have a rope so you can jump into deep water (at your own risk). We provide a 3 person canoe & 2 kayaks for your enjoyment. Feel free to bring your own kayaks/canoes as well. Please note this is a self-serve cottage & we ask that you leave the cottage as clean as you found it. Bobs Lake offers miles upon miles of exploration and beautiful paddling/boating or walking/hiking trails all around. Great place to relax and enjoy the peace & tranquility of this beautiful area. Guest access Lots of parking and easy to get to. Other things to note Bring your own bedding, pillows, towels & blankets. Dishsoap, handsoap, cleaning supplies provided. Our cottage is located on a hill in a Bay of bigger Bobs lake. The waterfront into summer gets shallow as the Rideau takes water from Bobs to feed the Ottawa canal so our waterfront is not ideal for swimming if you need this. Swim spots are a short distance away though. Otherwise our place is great for fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking & of course relaxing in nature.
