The space Our home is a two level house with the bottom level consisting of a “daylight basement” housing both the garage, two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and the laundry room. This provides a walk in entrance to both the upper and lower floors. The 2 downstairs bedrooms consist of a room with a single queen bed and a larger open room with 3 twin beds, each with a trundle. The 3 main bedrooms are on the upper floor along with the kitchen, living room, and breakfast area overlooking the garden. The upstairs bedrooms each have a single queen bed. The master bedroom has an attached full bathroom. The other two bedrooms share a hallway bathroom. The entire upstairs has been newly renovated with the upper floor overlooking a 10 acre rolling meadow with views of Roan Mt in the distance. For the nature lovers and outdoorsman, there are several miles of gravel roads to explore the 80+ wooded acres of the property as well as to provide access to the 3/4 mile stretch of river frontage on the South Toe River. Fishing, swimming, and tubing can all be enjoyed in the beautiful river. Wildlife abounds throughout the property with wild turkey, deer, salamanders, birds, etc. *****************NO PETS ALLOWED*****************NO SMOKING” ***********FISHING ALLOWED / CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY************* Guest access This is a complete home on its own land with NO homeowner on-premise to disturb you or your privacy. NO shared yards, patios, or other areas! Not an apartment, duplex, guest house, or tiny house but an entire home just for you! Guest will have access to the entire property. Guest access Please see all trail map descriptions for access on the property. Within the house- we ask that you avoid the garage area other than for walking through and putting trash away. Other things to note The benefits of being in the middle of nature are unlimited and we hope you fully embrace this opportunity in a way that refreshes your spirit. We want to remind you that this means its natural habitants are sharing their home with us too, so here are a few things to note- 1- this area is known for having black widow spiders, so please use caution if you lift medium to large rocks and when pulling wood from the outdoor wood stack. 2- millipedes are harmless but have resisted all of our efforts to keep them away. 3- poison ivy is not as invasive as you would imagine but it is still around the forest so use caution. 4- the deer love to graze on our fruit trees and in the meadow- we enjoy watching them and they usually run off once they hear or see us. Fishing gear is not provided. (Any fishing gear you see at the home is private owners, please do not use). Please bring your own poles and waders if you plan to fish the river. Shampoo and Conditioner and Body soap are now provided but you are also welcome to bring your own. Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher pods, and laundry detergent are provided. If you suspect you will use these excessively consider bring extra. Limited condiments and staples like sugar and salt are often at the house due to previous guests, but we do not stock these items and therefore cannot guarantee them being there.
