Guest access You will have exclusive access to the entire house, outdoor decks, dock, and water toys. Please do not park in the garage. Other things to note Nomini Creek is a brackish waterway, meaning it is a mix of fresh and saltwater. The wide creek connects with the Potomac River, Chesapeake Bay, and eventually the Atlantic Ocean. The water depth at the end of the dock is around 6 - 8', depending on the tide and season. The creek contains a variety of freshwater and saltwater marine life, including blue crab, striped bass, blue catfish, white perch, yellow perch, black drum, croaker, spot, and more. Bay nettles (a type of jellyfish) may be present during the year's warmest months. If you're planning to go fishing on Nomini Creek, we have two fishing poles and tackle available. Please bring any additional gear you may need. On your way to the cottage, stop by Bird Dogs to pick up bait (nightcrawlers, bloodworms, minnows, etc.). Two pots are available to toss off the dock for those interested in crabbing. To catch blue crabs, use fish chum or chicken necks for bait.
