A charming 3 bedroom apartment with private garden and entrance in the center of Sintra. The apartment has high ceilings, is full of light and tastefully decorated. The outside garden/pateo allows for alfresco dining and lounging. The location is very central, walking distance to all amenities. It occupies the whole 1st floor of a midcentury villa and benefits from a private garden/pateo and entrance on the ground floor. Parking is free and relatively easy on the street or adjacent ones. The space The apartment is spacious with high ceilings of 3,30 meters and a lot of natural light due to the multiple windows in all divisions. It combines charm/design and personal artwork from the host, as well as vintage original framed posters from portuguese and international artists. The living room benefits from design furniture, very fast Wi-Fi Internet (1 Gb /200 mg) and a large Samsung TV. The adjacent dining room has a classical wooden dining table for up to six people, ideal for meals with family and friends. There are 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a kingsize doublebed of 1,80x2,00cm. The second has a 1,60x1,90 doublebed and the third two single beds (90x2,00). All mattresses are of quality. The apartment only has one large bathroom, hence the reason why the number of maximum guests is 5. The kitchen is fully equipped and has all appliances (Nespresso coffee machine, large refrigerator, clothes washer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, etc). The apartment has a private entrance on the ground floor and a private garden/pateo. There is a outdoor dining table for up to six people, a barbecue/grill, two lounge chairs, where you can enjoy alfresco meals and relax. The house has three different apartments (ground, first and second floors), each with separate entrances and private pateos, ensuring therefore significant privacy. You are in an apartment, but with the feel of being in an individual house. Guest access Guests have access to all the areas of the apartment including the private garden/pateo Other things to note The apartment is very central and located in a very safe and quiet residential area. It is just behind the MUSA (Arts Museum of Sintra) and the Olga Cadaval Cultural Center, two landmarks of Sintra. The MUSA was the former casino, designed by renowned portuguese architect Marques Junior, who is also responsible for the building of the apartment, which is named "As Três Marias" (The Three Mary´s), because the owner of the building gave one apartment, as a summer residence, to each of his three daughters. Just 200 meters from the apartment you will find the first and main stop of the historic and traditional "Sintra tramway", which opened in 1904 and links Sintra to the beaches of Praia das Maças and Praia Grande, going through Colares, in a scenic tour of 11.5km. The municipal market of Sintra (with fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and meat) is located only 350 meters from the house and within this distance you will also find a supermarket, cafes, restaurants, pharmacy and banks. The distance to the train station to Lisbon is 800 meters. Sintra Town Hall is 1km and Sintra National Palace 2,5km. Sintra is a magical place and has a truly impressive number of fantastic sites/walks. The top/not to be missed visits are Palácio da Pena, Castelo dos Mouros, Quinta da Regaleira, Palácio Nacional de Sintra, Palácio Seteais, among many other attractions. A stretch of beautiful beaches also excellent for surfing (Maças, Praia Grande, Azenhas do Mar, Adraga, Guincho) is within a 11-20 km radius. Parking is available and free either in the street of the apartment or in the adjacent streets. The location of apartment makes it easy to go in and out of Sintra to either Lisbon citycenter (29km) , the beautiful coastal towns of Cascais and Estoril (17km) or to Mafra (22km) with its impressive National Palace. Just 2,5km away you have also a very large Continente supermaket and the Cascais shopping mall with cinemas is less than 10km. Registration Details 128152/AL
