The space This beautiful architectural gem dates back to mid-18th century and has been carefully restored by one of the most recognized admirers of the famous medina of Marrakech, respecting the use of traditional materials and building techniques. Dar Zitouna means "The House of the Olive Tree". Our tree is no ordinary olive tree, it is enormous, reaching its full height up to the terrace and casting its protective shade over this welcoming home, where every traveler is treated like a family friend. There is a small plunge pool providing relief from the heat on hot days or just a relaxing sound of water flowing through the built-in fountain. The patio is a great spot for yoga and meditation under the tree with the sound of water coming from the built-in wall fountain. The house consists of five bedrooms, out of which two are on the ground floor, two on the 1st floor and one on the terrace. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. All bedrooms are with queen or kind size beds as well as a chill-out sofa. Some of the double beds can be converted into single beds too, let us know you preferred sleeping arrangements. There is a safe box, a built-in wardrobe and is decorated in a traditional, yet settled, down-to-earth style. 3 rooms in the upper floor are equipped with AC and 2 rooms in the ground floor have ceiling fans. Rooms in the ground floor have 80cm thick walls making them cooler even in hot days. From the patio you will access a salon and a kitchen, in addition to a plunge pool . The roof terrace is an excellent place for sun-bathing during the day, chilling out in the evenings, or stargazing! Or if you choose just to relax, read a book or listen to your favourite tunes, there is a lounge on the first floor opening onto the courtyard as well.
