Family friendly apartment, located in a beautiful area 15-20 min. drive from Reykjavik centrum. It's close to nature, hiking trails and playgrounds. The apartment has a private entrance in a new, 4 apt condo. 3 bedrooms, one with a king size bed (180x200 cm) and the other two with a bunk bed (90x200 cm) for one child each. Bathroom with shower, laundry room, open kitchen/living room with a dining table, sofa and TV. Fairly sized balcony with a BBQ and cozy seating area. When entering the apartment you'll find yourself in the entrance room, where you can place all your outdoor clothes. From the entrance room you'll go into a hallway, which leads into all of the other rooms and the living/dining room. The apartment includes a bathroom with a shower, a laundry room and an open area with kitchen, dining area and living room with a TV. You'll have access to the whole apartment, except from a locked storage. The whole apartment is private, so you don't have to share any areas with others. We will be traveling while you stay at our apartment, but you can always reach us through messages or a phone call. The apartment is located in a family friendly area, close to a beautiful small waterfall (Álafoss), walking paths and a small forest. There are also a number of mountains around that are great for hiking, such as Helgafell, which is in 5-10 minute walking distance. 5 minute drive to the supermarket (15 min. walk), bakery, takeouts, a bar and a swimming pool. Half an hour drive to the National Park, Þingvellir, the first location in the Golden Circle. 10 minute drive to mount Esja. We recommend hiring a rent-a-car, as the apartment is in 15-20 minute distance from downtown Reykjavik. You can also use the bus or taxi, but taxi is very expensive here. We have free shared parking spots with our neighbours, on the apartment plot and on the street in front of the building.
