Luxury s/c holiday cottage for 2 (5 star gold award) - country living in a contemporary setting. Everything you need so that you can focus on you. Plenty of space to stay in and chill with a book or a film from Netflix, or perfectly placed to venture out into the unspoilt Eden valley away from the crowds and walk, cycle or visit depending on your mood. And when you are done come back to a relaxing jacuzzi bath before retiring to your Hypnos mattress on superking bed and a great nights sleep. The space The property is set on 2 levels with the kitchen and storage area on the ground floor and bedroom/lounge on the first floor. You have uninterrupted views of the high Pennines from the feature window on the first floor. The kitchen is fully fitted with undercounter fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, washing machine and electric induction hob. There is plenty of crockery and pans provided, as well as coffee maker (Lavazza A Modo Mix pods from Sainsburys), kettle, toaster, and microwave. Upstairs you have a super king bed with Hypnos mattress, a log burner, smart TV with Bose speaker, and sofa, and in the bathroom a Jacuzzi bath and rainforest shower. There is also mood lighting and underfloor heating. Outside there is a private garden space with patio. However, this cannot be directly accessed from the property. We ask that pets do not use this space for their toilet needs, as there is plenty of waste grass in the drive. Guest access Please access the property via the farm track leading up the side of the house called Hall Croft. A parking space is available outside Shepherds View. We recommend you drive in forwards as this enables you better to turn on your way out. Other things to note We are proud that Shepherds View at Dufton Barn Holidays was awarded Cumbria Tourism Self Catering Accommodation of the Year for 2022 and were 1 of 3 finalists in 2025. We welcome 1 medium sized dog in the property, for which we do levy a cleaning charge which must be added on booking. Please note no large breed dogs due to the layout of the property, and any dog must be fully house trained.
