Welcome to Elmwood room! Perfect for business travelers, this space is cozy, budget-friendly, and fully equipped for remote work. Just a 5-minute drive to Highway 4, you're 15 minutes from Concord or Antioch. Richmond and Oakland are about 30 minutes away (outside rush hour). BART station is only 1 mile away. Please note, the room shares a wall with the living room, so light noise may be noticeable. If that's not a concern, read on! The space Most guests are here for work or visiting family and looking for a clean, quiet, budget friendly place to stay. Your room is one of four in the house and shares a bathroom with two housemates. You’ll also have access to our fully stocked kitchen, a cozy den, and a peaceful study for reading or relaxing. Our neighborhood is a modest, working-class community with a wonderful perk: the Via Delta de Anza Trail runs right behind the house. This 15-mile paved trail follows a water aqueduct and connects to several beautiful green spaces—perfect for a morning walk or evening stroll. During your stay, the common areas (kitchen, living room, study, laundry) will be shared with three permanent residents of the house (me, my cohost, and one other housemate). We’re a hardworking, easygoing household—happy to help if you need anything or give you plenty of space to relax in peace. For us, this house is a quiet, clean, and restful retreat after a long day, and we hope it will be the same for you. Guest access Parking: There is plentiful free street parking in front of the house. Kitchen: The kitchen is stocked with essentials, cooking utensils, and of course the all important coffee maker. Guests are welcome to make full use of it. Dedicated space is set aside for you in the fridge and pantry. Living Areas: The floor plan includes a living room (den) with a large couch and sitting chairs for hanging out, as well as a study with an extra a desk for additional workspace, sitting chairs, books, and a fireplace for some relaxing reading. Laundry: In the garage you will find a washer and dryer. Complementary soaps and such are provided. Other things to note This is my home, but I'm often traveling for work. When I'm here I'm happy to share a cup of tea and trade travel stories. If I'm gone, you'll be in good hands with my cohost, Maren. We rent to professionals and students, but are not set up to host children or pets.
