We are nestled in the hillside, surrounded by forest & wildlife. Pet friendly during the months of May-October. Great news, the snowmobile and ATV trails are located just 2 minutes from the cottage! When given the opportunity, this is the perfect escape to view deer and wild turkeys! Take an adventure wheeling, snowmobiling, snowshoeing or hiking. End the day with a bonfire and star gazing or snuggle up by the indoor wood stove. You decide it's your vacation to enjoy! The space Our cottage has two bedrooms. One with a queen bed and a second bedroom with a set of bunk beds. The sofa pulls out to a double bed. We provide board games, card games, reading material for both children and adults, as well a large selection of dvd movies and dvd player. Relax on the beautiful screened in porch, the perfect space to enjoy that first cup of morning coffee with the sights and sounds of nature all around you. On cool mornings and evenings, snuggle up inside with the warmth of the wood burning stove. Three fire pits are also provided outside if you prefer a campfire, one is located directly behind the cottage. Kindling and wood is provided at all 3 fire pits and inside wood box. More wood is available if needed. A short walk through a wooded trail leads you to the stream where you can relax at a camp fire or watch the kids and pets play in the water. If you enjoy star gazing, this is the place for you. The cottage is located only 2 minutes from the Skedaddle Ridge Trails People Inc. (Ellis Bridge). This is the gateway to all your off road adventures. (Trail maps are available if needed). This unique area is a winter home for whitetail deer, and when fortunate to witness these majestic beauties right from your window, it is absolutely breathtaking. We work very hard to protect the deer in their natural habitat, therefore we refrain from pets during the winter months, however we welcome them May-November. During the winter months, especially with a lot of snow, we unfortunately do not have parking for vehicles at the cottage. However, we provide plenty of space for parking your vehicles and trailers at our property which is located directly across the street. The distance from the parking area to the cottage is only a 2 minute walk with a slight incline in the upper driveway. If assistance is needed for you and your luggage, we can provide this to you (both during arrival and departure). Feel free to ask us about our home cooked breakfast as well as "you cook" breakfast baskets that we can prepare for you. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. Accessible for 1-4 guests Nov- April and 1-6 guests May- October. No pets permitted in the winter months as the wildlife that live here become very frightened. This rule applies to the months of November-April. Other things to note We do not have cell service, however we do have Wifi service and Wifi calling available at the cottage. The Wifi password is listed in our information under the listing. It is also listed at the cottage. Important to note, if you plan to bring groceries you should do so before you arrive as we are 15 minutes from the nearest grocery store. we are 10 minutes from our local convenience store and gas bar. We do provide a few food items and condiments, and can arrange to pick up items for you.
