The harbour is the main focal point of the town, but in recent years it has also become known for its arts scene and there are several galleries and workshops which are lovely to spend an afternoon browsing. The restaurants, as visitors might expect, most specialise in the local seafood brought home by the fishermen, and there are plenty that are well-regarded, some offering stunning sea views. Beach-lovers won’t be disappointed, as the town boasts several beaches, from the main Breakwater Beach to the quiet and secluded St Mary’s Bay. Please note: Many of the amenities and cottages in Brixham are accessed via steps some of which can be steep - this property is not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
