Our place is close to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, nightlife, public transport, UC Davis, walking distance to grocery store and cafes. You’ll love our place because of the proximity to downtown without the noise, just a quick bike ride or walk along the greenbelt paths of Davis. NOTE: We are vaccinated for COVID-19 and require that our guests furnish proof that they are also vaccinated, prior to booking. One queen bed in a private upstairs bedroom with mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and water purifier, plus a few treats to consume. The bathroom is private for guests of this room, but not attached to the bedroom. Guests have access to their bedroom, their own upstairs bathroom, and the common front room that we call "the Library". Sometimes we socialize with guests, if the chemistry is right and we have common interests...but we never force conversation. If you are a foodie, scientist, traveler or a techie, well...we may have a lot to talk about. We are 1 block from a shopping center with a grocery store, a drug store, a cafe, a tea shop and both Chinese and Mexican restaurants. A bit further, but still walkable, is Davis's oldest brewery and tap-house. We are surrounded by parks and green-belts and bike-paths...it is a wonderful place to get out and move around away from exhaust fumes, while also gaining access to downtown and shopping centers. The university is a short bike ride or a longer stroll from the house, along greenbelt almost the entire way. Downtown Davis with all of its businesses and restaurants is a short 5 min bike ride. Several 'Jump' bikes are located nearby and it is easy to get one for a dollar, and ride into town. There is also a bus stop with several bus lines one block from the house. The train in and out of Davis is convenient. Laundry, kitchen, and other facilities are available for a fee via arrangement with hosts.
