Old growth timber, reclaimed from an ancient Oregon Trail cabin warm the walls of this refined old western motif. This 1880s home is the perfect backdrop for your transformation back in time without sacrificing any modern conveniences. Antique light fixtures, walnut furniture, century old gold mosaic tile with copper tub & sink and private bath. The space The private bath features tumbled travertine tile and warm natural old growth rough sawn wood (smooth to the touch). The bedroom has an additional sink and soaking tub. Back lit Cowhide softens the upper walls and transitions nicely to the gold anaglypta ceiling. The 150 year old floor wood is meticulously restored. The home is walking distance from downtown but 9 layers of sound suppression keep this room quiet, comfortable and dark when desired. Dedicated and isolated heating and air condition along with a heat recovery ventilator provide clean fresh non shared air. Guest access In addition to the bedroom and private bath, the front entry and stairs lead to a well stocked coffee/tea station available all hours. During your stay We are available as needed and enjoy interactions as conditions and desires permit. Other things to note Extreme details have been utilized in making this a quiet restful space. The exterior has 2" of compressed rockwool sound insulation between two layers of siding. The interior consists of plywood, drywall, greenglue, mass loaded vinyl, acoustic caulk, sound insulation. The 18" ceiling has multiple layers of sound suppression material and finished with gold anaglypta. The floor was removed, insulated and made solid with 1 1/4 plywood infill before restoring and reinstalling the old growth fir.
