"Into The Wild" Magic Bus

The Magic Bus is inspired by the bus from the "Into The Wild" movie. Located in the woods with comfortable beds, linen and electricity, but only 200 feet from a full bathroom and other facilities. You can watch wildlife straight from the windows! Come stay in our multicultural and multi-language glamping site by the beautiful Knik river, close to all the great attractions of the area. We believe that traveling to Alaska should be not only comfortable but also memorable! The space Our glamping site has a few comfortable tents and the bus (a total of 5 guest units). Each one is located some distance from each other; please see the photos. In the Magic Bus there is a full-size bed and 2 tween-size small beds. It is perfect for a family or a couple. if you are a group of 4 adults - please consider booking an additional glamping tent. All the beds have bed sheets, warm blankets, a heater, electricity, and light. A full bathroom is within 200 ft. Our BBQ and the fire pit are located on the shared area. Please check about fire ban before starting the fire pit. We have a separate tent with a coffee machine, microwave, and utensils. If you need to cook your meal - let us know, and depends on the availability - we can provide you with more kitchen basics. The parking is about 300 ft. from the bus. We do provide a cart to transport your luggage. Please keep in mind that moose are common visitors in our area. Don't approach them, and give them their space. We don't see bears on our property as they prefer to stay away from our dog and from people. Still, be cautious… Guest access Guests are welcome to park at the designated parking spots and explore our 3-acre property and the public access to the Knik River. If you want to prepare a meal - ask us about kitchen access. You can cook there. Other things to note The bus is located in the woods. While we taking cleanliness very seriously - please be aware - it can't be sterile like in the city hotel: We do our part by providing fresh linens and towels, washing the floors etc., ventilating the entire unit between each guest, and sanitize the bathrooms. But that is still much closer to the nature than a regular apartment or a city house. We hope you'll enjoy this unique mix of being in the nature along with a comfortability of the "like-at-home" mattress, comfortable bathrooms, and clean linens.
