Nestled amongst lush tropical surroundings, Cape Oak is the place to get away from it all while still being close enough to Port Douglas and Cairns. This idyllic, freshly renovated hideaway is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit with a gorgeous timber deck overlooking the rainforest. The space makes for a great home base, the perfect starting point for your awaiting adventures. With the Great Barrier Reef and rainforest on your doorstep, you will get to enjoy the best of both worlds. The space With its own gated driveway and entrance, Cape Oak offers you full privacy. You can enjoy this beautiful space as if it were your own. Once booked, Cape Oak in it’s entirety, is exclusively yours. The unit is a separate building to the main house on a 3.5-acre property. There is parking on site, right outside the unit. It consists of two bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom. The first bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has two double beds. The spacious, fully equipped open-plan kitchen with attached breakfast-bar and lounge area, opens onto a beautiful 12 square meter timber deck. Provided with picnic table and hammock, you will find yourself spending time outside listing to the tropical birds and reading your favourite book. The kitchen has a stove, oven and fridge and a variety of cooking utensils are provided to get you started. There will be linen, towels and beach accessories for you to use during your stay. Guest access Guest are free to walk the paddocks down the stairs behind the unit. It’s only a short two-minute drive to the beach. You can also walk to Thala Beach Resort for lunch or dinner. Other things to note Having a car is essential during your stay. We have dogs and chickens on the property. When the hens are laying, we can provide you with fresh free-range eggs. Unfortunately the unit isn't suitable for children yet due to the open spaces, stairways and raised deck. Because of the stairs, Cape Oak is sadly not wheelchair friendly yet. Pets are not allowed.
