The Farm Wave Rock

Our two bedroom one bathroom farm stay is located on a third generation wheat and sheep farm just 15 minutes, drive from Hyden and the iconic Wave Rock | Katter Kich, near Lake Magic and the Salt Bath. It’s the perfect base to explore all the local attractions and the ultimate midway stop en route to Perth, Esperance, Albany, Kalgoorlie and so much more. The space The home is a newly renovated 1970s bungalow style transportable, complete with all the comforts of a home away from home: wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, bath and split system heating and cooling. It is nestled amongst the homestead, sheds and workers cottage, so you can experience the peace of the bush but still feel connected. There is a communal veggie and herb garden, orchard and chook yard, separating the stay from the homestead, allowing as much privacy or interaction as you wish. Guests are welcome to help themselves to eggs and the garden produce to make delicious home-cooked meals. Relax and unwind amongst the gum trees or explore and learn on a wheat and sheep farm. Guest access Check yourself in with the key safe. Other things to note Please note that this is a working farm and your safety is our utmost concern. For this reason we respectfully ask that the sheds located 300m away remain off limits. Trucks and other large machinery often use the driveway past the accommodation to access the shed. There are also dams about 500m away that are not enclosed. Living in the bush comes with its own unique set of challenges. Sudden power outages, insects, few dining options, limited shop opening hours (particualrly at weekends) and mobile phone coverage only serviced by Telstra can make life tricky.
