Built in 1879 and rich in history, Cullenbone Schoolhouse has been lovingly renovated to become a stylish country residence. Enjoy a relaxing country getaway just minutes to boutique cellar doors and restaurants of magical Mudgee. You’ll be perfectly situated to experience all that the Mudgee Region has to offer. Featuring 4 beds, 2 baths and all the comforts of home, Cullenbone offers stylish accommodation for groups of 2-8 guests. Airbnb services or experiences can not be booked here. The space Cullenbone Public School operated from 1862 to 1963 until it was sold off by the Department of Education and transformed into a comfortable country home. Perfect for groups of up to 8 guests, the house features 13ft ceilings and original details throughout. Enjoy the large & bright open plan dining & lounge room with big wood combustion fire & Smart TV with streaming services and Sonos sound system. Set up for entertaining, the Chef's Kitchen is fully fitted out with gorgeous stone benchtops and plenty of preparation space. Modern appliances including 900mm Smeg upright gas cooker, ice-making fridge with wine drawer, Nespresso coffee machine and of course a dishwasher. A great selection of Coffee Pods and assorted teas are available for your use. Outside is a large fenced in yard with outdoor dining table to sit in the sun. Enjoy meals on the covered back deck with the gas BBQ and an oversized outdoor table overlooking the banks of the Cudgegong River. The Wisteria arbour is another lovely spot for afternoon or evening drinks and there is an enormous Fire Pit area for the cooler nights outside. The property is around 30 acres and yours to explore. We are situated on the banks of the Cudgegong River and historic Travelling Stock Route. A huge array of birdlife can be found here. The Miniature horses are always hungry for a feed. Our resident kangaroos make appearances in the early mornings and evenings. Three generous bedrooms offer plush King size beds. Bedroom 4 has 2 x King Singles. All bedrooms have blockout curtains and are fitted with luxury linen, HiLoft Doonas, electric blankets and a selection of pillows. Two large bathrooms - each with toilets, easily accommodate all guests. Bathroom 2 has a claw foot bath. A complete laundry with washer & dryer is available for use. Single covered car port plus plenty of parking space for guests. The house has ducted air conditioning in each room and the fireplace does an amazing job during Winter of heating the main living areas. Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Kayo Sports & superfast Starlink Internet. Good selection of books and games are available. Sonos sound system for great movie nights or music for your dinners. Firewood for the indoor fireplace and fire pit is supplied. A portable Cot & High Chair is also available. Bring your fishing rods or try out your hand at Gold Panning in the river. Please read our guest reviews! Guest access The entire house plus plenty of outdoor space is available. Guests are welcome to roam the property and adjacent Travelling Stock Route along the riverbank. Single car port available. Cullenbone Cottage is a separate AirBNB listing on the other side of the property. It has a separate entrance and private yards. Other things to note Services or experiences through the Airbnb app are prohibited to be booked at this property. Our insurance & Airbnb insurance does not cover this option. Entry is by electronic key lock. This key lock has a video camera function. As this is a remote site, for security reasons there is a single CCTV security camera overlooking the front driveway, parking area & garage door. Please understand this a rural setting, so you'll see and hear plenty of nice animals like horses, roosters, kangaroos and a vast array of birdlife. You may also encounter an insect or 2, just like you would at your home. We maintain a high level of pest control to ensure your comfort however we encourage you to remain vigilant when moving around the property. "Cullenbone Cottage" is located on the other side of the property that is also on AirBNB - this has a separate entrance & driveway. Registration Details PID-STRA-35484
