Cottage in the sandy landscape of pure Vesijärvi. About 20 km to the center of Lahti and just over an hour's drive from Helsinki. The complex consists of two log cabins built in 2017. Wood-burning stove in the sauna cabin. Large terraces, hot tub by arrangement. Sunny, shallow beach with stunning sunsets. Lake water for use and tap water supplied from Kirkonkylä for drinking. Clean, renovated outdoor room with Biolan composting container. A playhouse for children. The space The main cottage has a kitchen, bedroom and spacious sleeping loft as well as a living room. The small cottage has a separate large room, dressing room and sauna. On the wooden patio between the cottages, it is a pleasure to enjoy the summer, relax on the sun loungers, watch the life of the lake and watch the starry sky from the bubbling pool. On the beach, a barbecue hut, a 2022 renovated jetty, a rowboat and about 50 meters of private coastline for water games. Both cottages are electrified. The large cottage has an air heat pump that can cool the space even in the summer heat. In addition, a wood-fired stove and electric radiators. The sauna cabin has its own small refrigerator, electric radiators and the possibility of a portable air conditioner to keep the space cool. There is no running water in the cottages. The water used is lake water (with an electric pump to the corner of the sauna) and tap water supplied from Kirkonkylä in water buckets. The rent includes 20l of clean drinking water, delivered to the cabin. Please note that the cottage has a traditional Finnish wood sauna where bathing takes place. The water is heated in the water tank of the stove. The toilet is a clean, composting outdoor toilet. No modern bathroom. Guests have their own sheets and towels. The patio hot tub is an air-filled, electrically heated hot tub for 5-7 people. The use of the hot tub must be agreed separately. The hot tub can only be used when the weather is above zero. The cottage yard is accessible all year round by car. The area has differences in height as well as a few stairs and is therefore not accessible. The cottage is mainly for private use and is occasionally rented to those who behave neatly and cleanly. Other things to note Guests must bring their own linens and towels. It can also be agreed that the host will arrange them. The price does not include final cleaning. The guest agrees to clean the premises according to the instructions in the cottage folder. (Dishes are washed, garbage & bottles are cleaned away, furniture in place, at least sweeping/vacuuming of the premises. Trash in the trash cans, food products removed, surfaces wiped.)
