The house is located in Exo Nyfi, a traditional tower house settlement in Eastern Mani. This remote village is perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility. Close to secret beaches with crystal clear waters, it is ideal for the whiling away Greek summer days. The house has a breathtaking view of the mountains to the west and the sunrise over the sea in the morning. Kamara is an award winning project for Best New Architecture on an Existing Building by Doma Greek Architecture Awards 2023. The space This stone building, a restored typical village cafe, offers the unique experience of staying in a well preserved traditional space with a contemporary design. Inside the high vaulted space, the original layout has been kept intact, offering an open plan interior with lots of natural light. A playful wooden multifunctional construction with sliding partitions can accommodate each visitor’s different needs and moods. By moving the different partitions, one can choose privacy, views, the orientation and amount of light coming in. It comprises a double bed, a movable sofa bed and a discreet closet. On top of the block there is a large platform covered with a big mattress ideal for sleeping, reading or playing board games. A fully equipped kitchen is located in the south side of the house with a view to the garden. You can enjoy your meal at the outside shaded table during the day or under the stars at night. The roof terrace of the house is accessible from the garden, offering a great 360 degree view to the dramatic landscape of Mani.
