Dimmable recessed ceiling lights are perfect for setting the mood with a warm glow, and the remote controlled ceiling fans allow you to control your comfort from the bed or couch. The kitchenette features a Keurig, coffee/beer/wine glasses, and an apartment-size fridge/freezer. There is no full kitchen and no stove. Cooking is limited to the microwave/convection/air fryer only. There are paper plates, cups and plastic utensils as well. There are also some snacks available if you need something to tide you over when you arrive. When you enter the bedroom, the rich colors, textures, and materials draws you in for a more luxurious and intimate experience. Your bed and headboard are solid acacia wood with golden accents, and your 10" King memory foam mattress is the perfect balance between firm and soft. Guest access Upon arrival guests will notice that there is plenty of lighting for access in the evenings, and you will be provided a code for your smart lock to access the unit. Press the smart lock logo button, followed by the code, and press the check button to confirm. The smart lock sometimes has a hard time unlatching, simply press the door in gently while it tries to unlock or lock. The TV is a Roku smart TV. There is no cable. It has all the apps but no subscriptions are provided. Please bring your usernames and passwords for your favorite apps! The thermostat is above the nespresso, feel free to set it to whatever is comfortable for you. This thermostat is part of a multizone HVAC system so you have control of your zone in isolation from ours. **Please read all instructions on operating the thermostat before changing the settings.** Other things to note Because we are inside the city, expect to hear the city bus, trash and recycling on Thursday, and a bit more traffic than a rural area. The upstairs is occupied by your hosts! The only legal way to run an Airbnb in a home this close to everything inside the Asheville city limits is to own the home as a primary residence and live in it full time. But this is why we actually have such a unique offering with the combination of amenities, location, and a split home purpose built for doing Airbnb inside city limits so we can host guests who want immediate access to the city with all the amenities of an Airbnb outside of the city. The two floors are completely separated and locked off from one another, and the 1st level ceiling is insulated all the way to R30 purely for sound dampening. We also have sound panels installed throughout the upper floor and thickly padded rugs to reduce noise and reverberations even further. While you may hear some footsteps or the occasional bark/fur babies playing, the home was designed to feel and sound separated for a private and cozy experience.
