Glamping Cabin on a Working Wagyu Farm

Description

Welcome to the farm! Our cozy Barn Cabin is a simple getaway for two on our working Wagyu farm, just 3 miles from Lynden. Enjoy coffee on the porch, watch the cattle grazing, relax around the fire, or spend some time in the hot tub. Inside, there's a comfortable queen bed, heater, and a few simple comforts. Just a short walk from the cabin, you'll find your own outdoor restroom, a sink with hot and cold water, and a hot outdoor shower with a private changing area. The space WELCOME TO THE BARN CABIN If you enjoy the outdoors but still want a comfortable bed at the end of the day, our Barn Cabin might be just what you're looking for. It's a small, cozy cabin on our working Wagyu farm, surrounded by open fields, fresh air, and plenty of farm life. You can sit on the porch with your morning coffee, watch the cattle out in the pasture, or spend the evening around the fire. It's simple, a little rustic, and a nice change from everyday life. INSIDE THE CABIN The cabin is one cozy wooden room with: • A comfortable queen bed • Heater for cooler nights • Small refrigerator • Electric kettle and fresh drinking water • Counter with two stools Fresh bedding is provided, including sheets, pillows, and blankets. You'll find everything clean and ready to use in a storage tote inside the cabin. We leave the bed unmade, so you can use our bedding or bring your own, whichever you prefer. OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR You'll have your own porch, picnic table, chairs, and fire ring, with open fields all around. Most days, you'll see our Wagyu cattle grazing nearby. During the colder months, they're usually tucked away in our big yellow barn. You're welcome to walk along the farm lanes and enjoy the flower gardens when they're in season. Firewood is available for purchase, and there's a grill during the summer months. BATHROOM & SHOWER It's a simple, rustic getaway with a few extra comforts. Just a short walk from the cabin, under the lean-to by the barn, you'll find: • Your own outdoor restroom • A sink with hot and cold water • A hot outdoor shower with a private changing area We recommend bringing a flashlight for walking around the farm after dark. HOT TUB TIME Our hot tub is fully enclosed with privacy fencing and a gated entrance, located behind the farmhouse, a short stroll from the cabin. It's the perfect place to relax, watch the steam rise, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the farm. After you book, we'll send a calendar link so you can reserve your own 45-minute time slot. The hot tub is yours alone during your slot. • Open daily, 7:45 AM to 9:45 PM. The last session starts at 9 PM. • From November through February it's dark by suppertime, so an evening soak really is under the stars • Solar lights line the path, and there's a lantern for the walk after dark • Professionally maintained by Tub Tec Service to keep the water clean, balanced, and ready for you to enjoy WAGYU FOR DINNER? Since you're staying on a Wagyu farm, you might as well enjoy some of our beef! We raise Wagyu and Angus cattle right here on the farm, and you'll find a variety of cuts in our Farmstead Market. After you book, we'll send you a link to pick a time to shop. Everything is frozen, so if you'd like something ready to cook, order one of our pre-made boxes at least 24 hours before arrival and we'll have it thawed and waiting at check-in. WHAT TO BRING A few things we recommend: • Your favorite coffee or tea • Comfortable shoes for walking around the farm • Layers and rain gear, depending on the weather • A flashlight for nighttime-we do offer a lantern in the cabin. • A small pan, camp stove, or cooler if you plan to cook • Your own bedding if you like. BRINGING YOUR DOG? We welcome one dog, up to 50 lbs, with a pet fee. Since this is a working farm with cattle and chickens, dogs must be leashed and supervised at all times. Please review our dog policies in the House Rules before booking. A LITTLE ABOUT US We're Glen and Lisa, and we live right here on the farm. We spent years dairy farming before starting our Wagyu herd in 2016. These days, we're raising cattle, tending to the farm, and welcoming guests who want to experience a little bit of farm life. We're around if you need anything, but otherwise we'll leave you to enjoy your peace and quiet. BEFORE YOU BOOK Please send us the code word FARMSTEAD with your first message so we know you've read through the listing and House Rules. Guest access The Barn Cabin, porch, picnic table, and fire ring are yours to enjoy. Free parking is right next to the cabin. Just a short walk from the cabin, you'll find your own outdoor restroom, a sink with hot and cold water, and a hot outdoor shower with a private changing area. The shower is shared with some other guests during summer. You'll also have access to the hot tub during your reserved private time slot. Feel free to walk the farm lanes and enjoy the open spaces. For everyone's safety, please stay out of the barns and cattle pastures. Other things to note • This is a real working farm. You'll see cattle, farm equipment and everyday farm work, and other guests stay on the property. • Self check-in is any time after 4 PM. If you'd like help when you arrive, please get here by 8 PM. After that we're off for the night, but you can still settle in on your own. • Visitors need our OK ahead of time. This is a working farm, so we need to know who's coming onto it.
