Rural retreat near Thruxton

A peaceful oasis surrounded by countryside, with walks straight from the door. A short drive from Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge and close to the pretty town of Stockbridge and the famous chalk streams of the River Test. We are close to Thruxton, famous for its race circuit, and well placed to explore the Cathedral City of Salisbury and Winchester. With antique shops in Marlborough, a little further afield, Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) and Montisfont Abbey there is plenty to see and do! The space Situated within the garden of a private house in a small village. With private access the accommodation is on two floors with a food preparation area on the ground floor and stairs up to the open plan double bedroom, living area. The bathroom with a garden view and roll top bath is also on the first floor. Guest access Parking for one car is just outside the property, not on the main drive. Access to the accommodation is along a path through the garden of our adjacent private house. There is a shaded seating area to the front of the main house for your use if required. There is no access to the main garden. Other things to note Local train stations are Grateley and Andover with access to London Waterloo and Exeter lines. The A303 provides great access to lots of superb places to visit if you are travelling by car. We are ideally located if you are visiting Thruxton Race Circuit for one of the race events. If not, please check if your visit coincides with any of these events as although the race times are short and measured but we do hear them! We live with 2 dogs that you may see popping in and out of the garden during your stay, so are unable to accommodate guests with any pets.
