BoerdeHeij - sustainable and cozy camping cottage

On our Boerdeheij property, we have transformed an old barn into a cozy camping house. Completely and cozily furnished, located in a beautiful place between meadows and forest. You can enjoy the peace and quiet here, far away from traffic, but close to nature and (hobby) farm life. All facilities, such as a kitchen, compost toilet and hot shower, are under one roof. The cottage is ideal for those who are not looking for luxury, but appreciate simplicity, sustainability, rural life and hospitality. The space Welcome to our cozy camping cottage! You enter a cozy living room with a kitchenette and a dining area where you can enjoy the sun or during a rain shower. The front of the cottage is open, so you always have the ultimate outdoor feeling. On cool evenings, you can keep yourself warm with the available plaids and blankets or a cozy fire in the wood stove. Adjacent you will find the bathroom with a compost toilet, sink and a hot shower. At the back of the cottage is the cozy but spacious bedroom with comfortable mattresses and pillows. Wake up with the morning sun and a beautiful view over the forest and meadows. There is plenty of storage space, and you can heat the room with an electric stove. Extra wool blankets and even electric blankets are available for extra comfort. In the adjacent shed, you will find the refrigerator, microwave, extra chairs, pillows and bicycles. Everything you need for a relaxing and complete stay! Guest access This charming camping cottage is tucked away on the edge of our yard and has its own private garden. You enjoy a lot of privacy here, while still having a beautiful open and unobstructed view of the surrounding nature. Next to the cottage you will find our large vegetable garden, which is freely accessible to guests. Feel free to harvest and enjoy fresh vegetables and herbs here during your stay. Our animals also live on the property: three horses in their paddock paradise, two cats, two peacocks, 3 ducks and pot-bellied pig Guus. A cozy place for nature lovers and animal lovers! Other things to note In case of (severe) frost, it is unfortunately NOT possible to stay in our "camping house". This is because not all water pipes are frost-free. If we see a period of frost coming, we are forced to temporarily remove the "camping cottage" from the rental.
