Award winning Barefoot architects have created an open plan single level contemporary design with lounge, kitchen dining area in large open vaulted steel barn space. 2 well-sized luxury bedrooms (check image to see actual dimensions) with super king and double beds. This is a highly insulated eco-conversion build with triple glazed windows and roof lights that flood the space with light during the day. Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) is superior to air conditioning as it filters the air for pollen and dust. It has zoned under floor heating (UFH) throughout and in addition a cosy log burner to enjoy chilly nights in style & a wonderful split level breakfast area to watch spectacular sunsets. A huge walk-in shower within the luxury wet room has a large separate bath too. Award winning TROPIC shower gel hair wash and bath foam add to the experience (so good with absolutely no nasties e.g. hidden toxins like 'fragrances' or 'perfume'). Main door is wide and easy access from parking right outside the front door. Comfortable private parking for 2 cars but room for 4 if you are having visitors. Outdoors, there is a lower level and upper level outside breakfast area and tables with BBQ all set up ready to cook. We often get a friendly pheasant and crow near our window wanting some seeds... and at dusk we sometimes see the bats flying about feeding on the insects after sunset... We offer samples of the natural range from TROPIC to try... they are all so good for your skin! Absolutely NO nasties! Fun tutorials for fermented food and drink available on request* so you can look after your gut buddies too. :graham is a sovereign trainer for those interested. Plant lovers will get inspiration from walking around the natural gardens and if anabel is about (not kitesurfing) she'll show you her wonderful acer trees (Japanese maples) and sculpted bonsai's*. It's a plant lovers' paradise with unusual indoor 'terrariums' showing off succulents (some of these low maintenance displays are available to buy and take home) and lavender terrace to intoxicate you when you step outdoors. The eco-friendly ethos is built into Corner Barn's foundations, with a GSHP to provide zoned UFH on a chilly day & MVHR to provide filtered fresh air... good for all but especially those with allergies. A log burner gives you the option to celebrate the chilly seasons with a real burning fire as a backdrop. Local newsagent and post office is 7 mins walk and nearest pub is at the Cricket Club, about 10 mins walk (might be a little more walking home!). The bustling town of Dorchester is just 7 minute drive with many bars, restaurants and 2 cinemas. Having a biodigester on site, the amazing bacteria decompose our waste so we need to keep them alive and well! So no nasties go down the loo or sinks!
