Lovely small treetop apartment, half a mile up a winding hill road (3 to 4 minute drive), 5 minutes from downtown San Anselmo with fine restaurants, coffee houses, music and a charming little park. Lively Fairfax with its' music scene is minutes down the road. Good base for trips to wine country, Mt. Tamalpais, Pt. Reyes and San Francisco. Excellent area for hiking. Private deck with table and chairs enabling you to enjoy breakfast in the quiet treetops. The space Newly remodeled small one-bedroom treetop apartment with it's own entrance and deck. We've made it as comfortable as possible, creating a quiet spot for respite. Lovely views across to ridges, the deck has table, umbrella and chairs for outdoor dining. USB ports on bedroom and desk table lights. Two wall heaters for colder weather and portable heaters if needed. Fully equipped kitchen, coffee machine, iron and ironing board, dust buster, TV with Roku, getting 100's of channels including Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube TV. PLEASE BE AWARE before booking For those who have problems negotiating stairs, there are two flights of mild stairs with handrails going down (and then up of course) to the apartment. See pictures. Sorry no pets or children, the space and apartment with its high deck location are just not suitable. Guest access Downstairs apartment, laundry area, carport. Other things to note We call it treetop getaway which means you will drive about half a mile up a winding tree lined hill road (it's a regular paved road, see photos.) It's a normal drive for the numerous people who live around here but you may not be used to hilly curving roads. Just go slower at curves & narrower bits remember the car going up has right of way, although its normal, if passing, to use common sense and move out if there's a wider bit nearer to you. Look out for the occasional deer or other animal. A few times and one gets used to it. There is a detailed binder in the apartment with information of local services including restaurants, police, pharmacies, fire, maps, routes to wine country, West Marin, San Francisco, etc. We try to have a clear day with no bookings after every guest leaves in order to clean and air out the apartment. Once in a while, unavoidably, we might have guests coming in and others leaving on the same day, however the apartment will always be thoroughly cleaned as usual. With that in mind we ask guests to take out the garbage when they leave & if they have old food or have put something with a strong odour in the garbage bags under the sink, to take them up to the bins on the carport, during their stay & at the end. This helps keep the unit fresh for everyone's comfort. Replacement bags are on the door under the sink. We have a fast 200-250 Mpbs fiber optic internet connection. Although we rarely, if ever, have connection problems we can't blanket guarantee continuous service. We're at the mercy of ATT and any potential problem may take time to resolve . We only mention this so that you're aware of this rare possibility. For the comfort of other guests, no pets, no smoking. Thank you.
