Riverfront Retreat - Waterfront, Firepit, Fishing

Riverfront Retreat rests on the banks of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, just 2 miles west of Broadway town limits. We're within 20 minutes of Harrisonburg/JMU, less than an hour from Shenandoah National Park, 40 minutes from Massanutten Resort and only 20-30 minutes from several breathtaking caverns including Shenandoah, Endless, Melrose & Luray. The space This little cabin was on its last leg when we found it, so we stripped it down to the bones (visualize Chip Gaines & "demo day!") and started over. In addition to the full remodel, we added a large master suite. We do our best to create a relaxing and stress free "home away from home" experience, so you'll find our kitchen, laundry closet and bathrooms are well stocked with most everything you'd find in your own. If you have questions about amenities provided, please ask! And if you need something that we don't typically keep at the cabin, let me know and I'll do my best to have it there for you. Bring your kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, inflatables or whatever "floats your boat" (water shoes are a good idea!). And don't forget your fishing gear! Guests frequently spot bass, perch, trout, carp and more. And if you’re lucky, you’ll see a pair of bald eagles that have chosen our treetops as one of their favorite spots to rest! **** IMPORTANT -- PLEASE READ BELOW **** - We are NOT secluded or "off the grid". We have neighbors (separated by privacy fences) and are located on a two lane highway. - We still use the cabin's original hand dug well, so it's important to be frugal with water by limiting showers to 10 mins or less. The washing machine and dishwasher are fine to use as needed. - Due to our small well and old septic, we have a strict 3 guest limit!
