Just 1 hour from Paris, this beautiful historic French château, built in 1856, is now a magnificent family home. Once Napoleon the third's hunting output, this stunning property is surrounded by prestine French countryside. From the very first glance, its size and elegance leave a lasting impression. It is a place made for long reunions, for families and friends to gather — a perfect home for children, and for all who wish to breathe deeply, play, and dream in the calm of the countryside. The space This incredible estate offers 14 acres of beautifully kept park, forests of ancient trees, orchards, vegetable gardens and children play areas ideal for outside activities, sports and adventurous play. This combined with a beautiful stream running through the garden and the large pond make this property the perfect place to relax and recharge. Surrounded by quaint and charming villages this part of the french countryside is famous for its beautiful skies and sunsets, inspiring generations of french artists, notably the impressionists with Claude Monet. The close by village of Giverny attracted artists from around the world. On the ground floor of this entirely restored home, the living room is filled with light and opens directly onto the garden. A quiet study offers a peaceful corner to read or work. The large kitchen, bathed in sunlight, also opens onto the garden and gathers everyone around a large table. It is fully equipped — a gas stove and oven, dishwasher, large microwave, two big refrigerators and freezers, a Nespresso machine, toaster, electric kettle, and an abundance of crockery, glasses, and cutlery for lively meals together, as well as a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. Upstairs are the 5 bedrooms, 3 queens and 2 kings, of which, the on-suite with views of the garden in 3 directions. There is also the possibility of creating an on-suite bedroom in one of the living rooms on the ground floor. The entire property is gated with a large parking area for many cars. Guest access During your stay you will have the entire estate to yourselves. Cleaning and cooking services can be arranged for an extra fee. Also sells butter, milk, and cream - Butchers - source from local farms and offer house-made charcuterie, cured meats, pâtés, terrines - Fishmongers from Normandy - focus on line-caught, sustainably sourced fish as well as oysters and shellfish. - Bakeries and Patisseries - real sourdough, hand-shaped breads, homemade pastries, viennoiseries. - Wine Merchant, Normandy-style cider houses and craft breweries - offer large cellars with wide variety of options and specialist Sommeliers. For those interested in history there are a number of sights in the area worth visiting including castles and cathedrals: - Chateau des templiers (Gisors) - Chateau de Dangu - Antoine Lavoisier's estate - Cathedral of Beauvais - D-Day beaches in normandy (3 hour drive) - Giverny - beautiful water garden made famous by impressionist painters such as Claude Monet in the late 19th century. Other things to note The Château de Boutencourt is a truly magical setting perfect for family reunions, celebrations, and evenings with friends. For events, the village hall is available for hire. It is 5 minutes away in the village, accessible through the garden.
