Description
The "Skinny House" is a comfortable, modern home that is perfect for family or group get togethers. Carson Newman U., Cherokee Lake, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountains, and downtown Knoxville are all nearby. The home features 3 stories and 5 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, a walk in closet, a desk, a Roku TV and a walk out patio. Enjoy the living area with a TV, dining area, coffee bar, a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and laundry room. The space The "Skinny House" exhibits a unique architecture with a surprisingly efficient use of space. Each bedroom has a very comfortable queen or king size adjustable bed with a memory foam mattress, a large screen Roku TV, a walk-in closet, a desk, and a private bathroom. The nightstands have touch lamps with 120V AC and USB charging ports. Ultra fast wireless fiber internet is available for entertainment and/or work related activities. The private bathroom has a shower (sorry no tub) and is equipped with a hair dryer. Security is top-notch, each bedroom has an automatic locking digital keypad with an additional security lock for added peace of mind. All exterior entrances are monitored by security cameras. We do allow up to two pets for an additional fee, and we ask that they be restricted to the bottom floor and not allowed to be on the 2nd or 3rd floors. Guest access Several amenities including grocery stores, pharmacies, a coffee shop and fast food are less than a half mile away. The CNU campus is literally less than a block away. The athletic complex, Burke-Tarr Stadium, and the music center are about a 5 minute walk from the house. Parking is free on George Avenue with space for 4 cars on the driveway at the rear of the house. Other things to note A train route exists on the opposite side of campus, so you may hear a train whistle on occasion. During hot summer days where outside temperatures exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit, the AC units are not capable of cooling the house to temperatures below about 72 degrees. Setting the thermostat below 72 degrees causes the units to run constantly, and can damage or cause them to freeze up. It is also costly and wasteful of electricity. Therefore, if 72 degrees is uncomfortably warm for you, we request that you not book the property and look elsewhere.
