It is located within easy access of Acadia National Park’s many hiking trails, ponds, lakes, Seawall, Echo Lake Swimming Beach, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, and other villages/sights on Mount Desert Island. Everything is located on 1st floor except washer and dryer in basement. Open floor plan for all rooms except bathroom and bedrooms. There is a family room, kitchen, dining room, full bath, foyer, and 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed. One bedroom has additional twin bed. Outside, enjoy a BBQ grill(Sorry grill is being repaired and not available), picnic table, and lawn chairs provided. We provide lots of extras like auto night lights, emergency lights, spice rack, lobster pot, crockpot, and starter supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, cling wrap, foil, soft soap, dish soap, etc... You should bring coats and clothes for layering up as the nights can get cold and a must for boat tours. Also bring hiking shoes, canteen, bug spray, sunblock, shampoo/conditioners, showergel/soap, beach towels, hair dryer/curling iron, camera/binoculars, and your personal items. We start the season off with long-lasting perishables like ketchup, mustard, and relish. We hope that as guest use these, they replace them as they get low. Buy fresh lobster from our neighbor. Make your own surf and turf. Linens and towels are provided. Family room has Large Flat Screen Cable TV, WIFI, and DVD player. Games, puzzles, books, and DVD selection for all ages. Some toys are available for children. We tried hard to provide everything needed for cooking, baking, grilling, and dining in. Our welcome package if full of helpful information and brochures. Disclosures: 2nd floor is unfinished and not accessible to guests. There is possibly an occupied apartment on the premises. Their entrance and parking is away from the house. There are no shared spaces. No windows look at either bldg. There are security cameras outside. There are several places nearby to pick up groceries but the largest in Southwest Food Mart just outside of town about 2 1/2 miles away. If you need something quick, Gott's market is closer. Gott's is open from 3:30 AM until 10:30 PM. Guest access You have access to entire house except the 2nd floor which is unfinished and not accessible. There is also a large yard and wild flower gardens. There is a BBQ grill, picnic table and lawn chairs to enjoy the outside. The stars at niht are amazing. You can even see the milkyway. You will not have access to the garage. Other things to note Upon arrival, please make sure everything is in working order, no uncleanliness, and no damages. Text us immediately with details of anything amiss or needing attention. Call us too if something needs urgent attention. Reports after the morning of arrival release owners from accountability for any inconvenience. Review the house manual on the table. It contains emergency numbers, instructions for WIFI, house rules, departure instructions, as well as attraction suggestions. The stove has a ceramic top. Do not use abrasive cleaner or wipes as this will cause permanent damages. Use cleaner and pads provided. DO NOT USE dishwasher pods. If using dishwasher, you may only use liquid. The pods cause a cement like substance to be created in pipes and requires a professional with special tool to remove that substance. There is no garbage disposal. Do not put coffee grounds, grease, etc.. down the sink. You must also acknowledge We are unable collect a security deposit. Therefore any damages, heavy cleaning needed in the house, outside, or on the grill, or extra cleaning fees charged if load of laundry is NOT started (TOWELS 1st or linen if no towels), or Trash not put out on trash day resultig in extra pickup fee, will possibly result in additional fees charged to us which may result in an extra charge to you.
